View Full Version : Vin Numbers?

Okay, from what I've heard, the last numbers on the Repsol Vin numbers represent what manufacturing number the bike was. What do you think about adding a field in the profile area for owners to enter their Repsol number?

I could display this number under the members name when they post.

Okay, I've added a field in your profile section. If you add the number there from your VIN number, it will show up when you post:

Its actually the last 4 digits on the vin that label the bike, and there were 1550 that came into the USA.

I am 101336, and I haven't been given the vin on the second one yet. I was going to put that info in there, but it didn't have place for more than one set of #;s, so I left it blank.

Yeah, that's what I have heard. I changed the field so you can add multiple VIN numbers.

Did they do the same numbering system for the bikes sold outside of the US?

It looks like the 07 is doing the same thing with the special vin that the 05's did.

So since the 07's are doing the VIN thing again. It looks like we will start seeing some 05 and 07 Repsols with the same last 4 numbers of the VIN. So will these bikes be brothers, cousins, etc?

Just got back from the local dealer, they have #854 on the floor. If anyone is looking for a Repsol that is unspoken for, they said they are selling it for $11,300 plus tax only. PM me for details. Mine ships from the Chicago warehouse on March 9th.

Steven - there is also another 07 Repsol owner a few miles away from ya in Croydon, Pa. His name is Matt and he seemed like a good guy. Just giving you the heads up in case you see 'your' bike rolling down the road.

Yea, that's probably my fault for starting it back up :D But I guess it helps confirm that only about 1500 were made, cause the '07 that I just now got 3yrs late is still new and it's only number 376

You don't necessarily need to post in here. I had my year and VIN in my profile since it was part of that when I created it.

*shrug* This is a wicked old thread.
