Wtf, just received it from them off of ebay. It now says sold as is and holes need to be drilled. It originally said predrilled with only one chip. It doesn't have a chip but has scratches and a crack. It does not have the recess indentation for the oil reservoir, instead it comes with a plastic spcaer lifting it up and hiting the reservoir and with a bolt that is shorter then the spacer. It is too wide and not cureved right. If you push the sides in to line up the holes the fiberglass will crack. Even witht he moronic spacer, the hole doesn't line up. :mad:

received a reply;
You should have received two screws and a white spacer. The longer screw goes to the top middle mounting point. The spacer will go underneath it on the bottom side of the hugger. The small screw goes on the chain guard side. If you can send some photos so I can see where the issue is? Thanks

The screw I received didn't fit anywhere and was shorter then the spacer. There was no ther srew or I would have tried the spacer. I'm not sure how this would work since the spacer keeps it level and touching the bottom of the rear shock's oil reservoir. I would imagine over the first bump the fiberglass hugger would shatter. :weirdface:

Does anbody have a hotbodies rear hugger installed? :confused2:

I used to have one on my 929s. I seem to recall having to fudge with it and whatnot. Overall wasn't too impressed.

I had one on my F4I, bought it off egay. Wasnt a Hotbodies but it was fiberglass and fit like crap also.

Had to do some mods on it to get it to fit just right. A die grinder with a cut off wheel worked great for trimming.

Also had to drill out a couple holes to get the fasteners to line up right. Then after all that,

the first time i took it out the rear pass pegs hit it and chipped the paint and cracked the beyotch.....

Ermax makes great undertails. I put one on my zx-6r and it fit like a glove. Although I have never tried one for a honda. The fit and finish was great for the kawasaki.

They sent me the spacer needed since it doesn't have the oil reservoir indentation but they sent me one screw that doesn't fit anything and the longer screw I needed wasn't there. Went to two Lowes and one Home Depot to find one. I test fitted it and it's not curved correctly. I dosn't bend, it twists. So when I screw down the chain gaurd the fender twists and is about 1mm from hitting the tire. I guess I won't be buying the hotbodies exhaust now.

Lowes and Home depot suck for metric bolts. Is there an Ace hardware in you area? try them.:)

I'm not sure if there's any Ace Hardware or even Orchard left in CA but it was just to test fit the hugger. He (Hotbodies) said he would send the right bolts that were missing but I didn't want to wait. Unfortunately my X has my caera and my cell is broke so I can't show the twist to post to to send him as he asked.

Just for the record, I have the PUIG carbon fiber one on my bike and it fit like a dream!!!!!!!

I don't like the Puig myself. I wanted to paint the hugger either Red or Orange, so the scratches and low price were a benefit to me. Anyhow, they accepted the retun and refunded me so in the end i'd say good customer service.

Sorry, I wasn't able to take a pic' of the hotbodies hugger but I uploaded some others so you ca see that is is supposed to be made with the oil reservoir indentation just like OEM. The hotbodies is flat under the oil reservoir and then used a plastic tube spacer in between the swingarm and the huggger's screw under the reservoir. If you look at the chain gaurd mine was not flat, it was bent upwards. I think it was a bad mold. So when I pushed the chain gaurd down to screw it in, it twisted the fender and the side touched the tire.

The left one is K1 from Japan. It's carbon fiber and extened longer. The other carbon ones i've seen from italy and USA are OEM length.

The next one is Some east coast place company (forgot name) on ebay. It is made of ABS plastic. Notice how flat the chain gaurd is and doesn't bow upward.

The 3rd and fourth are carbon OEM style from OPP Racing with silver or gold kevlar. The SIlver matches the '07 pretty tight and the gold would go well with gold rear sets.
