A while back I got a HID conversion kit and ran into a problem with the new bulb moving in the housing. I found that the new bulb did'nt have a thick housing like the OEM one (see pic). So I've been looking for a fix. I was in autozone today and I found these master cylinder gaskets that looked right.
All I needing was to cut a X in the middle of the bushing for the wire and it worked perfect. I did have to push the bushing into the housing, but the bulb does not move. The rest of the install was cool, It helps to remove all the flapper stuff on the left side. I hope it helps anyone that has ran into that problem. And yes they are BRIGHT as hell.

thanks again man,

I ride everyday with with HI beam, day or night.I dont care if I blind people.
at least I know they see me.

That's why I thinking maybe I will only get low beam HID,or both.
I like to see how bright they will be before buying them. I am still looking to find someone that lives near me with HID on their bikes.

Both of my Whips have them. But I know cars with factory HID will always be brighter then after market HID.

Oh Geezus - don't start this topic again.

It's been discussed at length here are there are definitely two camps, and they don't get along! :D

Hey you HID guys...

I think Tristan has some fancy gizmo that disables your headlights for the first few seconds so you can start up the bike with no initial drain. It's pretty cool, have you guys see it?

The HID delay relay was originally designed for those older HID kits that had problems double firing (turning on when you turn the key, then turning off for a second while you start your bike, this shortened the life of the ballast and igniter). Newer HID kits believe they have concord the double fire problem. The problem that bikes may have now is you are firing off your HID's while the bike isn't running, this can put a strain on your battery. What the HID delay relay does is delays your HID startup from 1-15 seconds after you turn on the key. It's adjustable to what you want. This will give you a chance to start the bike before your HID's turn on. Here is a couple of videos. Thanks. T
