I know I know.... I'm sorry for bringing it up...but winter is coming. I live in Indiana and the weather is about to change...I searched for topic related posts but didn't find much... My question is about winterization.. Does anyone have a good checklist for things to do?? Is it even still necessary on newer models...and I am "hibernating" it in a climate controlled environment, and don't know if I even need to go through the ordeal... Although I'll do anything (gladly) for her.....Anyone got anything for me???:confused2:

Id put a splash of Stabil in the gas tank or run it out of gas. Thats about all I have ever done.
Never had any problems come spring time.

Hello, an ideal way to do it is as follows:
1)put the bike on front and rear stands (tire care)
2)fill the tank to the top and put stabil in it(prevents moisture corrosion and stabil keeps gas fresh by not letting it oxidize)
3)change the oil right before winterizing (used oil attracts water/moisture)
4)install a battery tender/trickle charger that cycles the battery.
Good luck and I hope that helps.
