Bro,
Im assuming that you are interested in having it shipped over.

I think 1eyebrother(Jason) had a line up on one at his local Honda shop.
If I remember correctly...he got his for a great price.

And since he is in Idahoe...lol...you wont get the Calif. edition with the cat. converter like I did. :(

Hondaman69
October 1st, 2007, 06:53 PM
It doesnt matter about the catalatic converter because i am in the military and i am leaving the island for the east coast. i just need some contact info and a good price on a new one without any mileage on it.

You know who would kill me if I had 2 machines in the garage.
Now if I bought her a Cayanne, like somebody I know did for their lady, then that wouldnt be a problem.

You think I could borrow Breezy's for a week...and then tell the boss it got repo'd because I was late on the payment.

1eyebrother
October 1st, 2007, 07:07 PM
its winter time here...so the sport bikes are going in the warehouse...so probably 500 bucks would hold it....there is also one in pocatello, idaho too....about 35 miles from my house.....take one or both....I want the only 07 in my neck of the woods....

1eyebrother

until spring I am sure....might take more money down to hold it that long....

Hondaman69
October 1st, 2007, 07:12 PM
do you think they would hold it until the middle of May?

Repsol47
October 1st, 2007, 07:13 PM
Hondaman69,
You dont want to go to Idaho to pick it up...there is white chit all over the ground.

I'll pick it up for you and store it in my beautiful garage...I'll ride it around, gently of course,to break it in properly.

Travis Air Force base is just down the road...so you could fly in and take it with ya in a C-5.:D

LOL I like that, thats funny. But when i was looking before i found the one at KWHonda it was said that there were 3 in the warehouse. I don't know if it would be worth bringing one across the border or not though.

well when you sell the best sportsbikes ever made by the gods you are going to be busy...

Hondaman69
October 2nd, 2007, 05:13 PM
well here is the scoop. he said he could sell it for 10,995.00 out the door. i could give him 500.00 for them to hold it, and he would put it in a shiping container that they come in and send it to me so I dont have to drive 35 hours to pick it up. now all i need to find is a shipping company that is cheep that will ship it and second convince my wife before this glorious bike gets sold. let me know if you think this is a good deal for a repsol.

Repsol47
October 2nd, 2007, 05:30 PM
11k for a BRAND NEW Repsol....depends if it is worth it to you.
I think that is a pretty good deal....although shipping is probably gonna tack on an additional 500-600.00.

Not positive...but I think I have seen that number floating around.
Are you shipping from Idaho to the East Coast?

Hondaman69
October 2nd, 2007, 05:33 PM
i believe it is worth it considering these bikes are hard to find especially now. yes i will be shipping it to the east coast. know of any good shipping companies that would take on shipping a bike from that area to the east coast????

1eyebrother
October 2nd, 2007, 05:34 PM
I think it is a good deal...I paid 12,000 to delivery fee and set up fee all that 500.00 dollar crap....so OTD I paid 12,500 for mine....

1eyebrother
October 2nd, 2007, 05:35 PM
I would be able to help ya do whatever ya need since it is in my town....and scott is a pretty good guy...I am sure that was the best he could so...if they would have had the bike in march I would have paid 12,500 for it, so you are getting a sweet bike for 1500 less....

Dont know how much time you have on the "Island", and if it would be possible for the dealer to ship to you..but I was thinking since the military takes care of shipping your goods to your next duty station.

Is it possible to pay the dealer to ship to you...then have the military ship to the East coast along with the rest of your goodies?

If that is not possible...ask the dealer if they know a reputable company for long distance shipping.

Hondaman69
October 2nd, 2007, 05:40 PM
well that is good to know. i will be talking to my wife about it tonight, so if i need any info on a good shipping company you would be the person i would get in touch with. do you think that asking for photos of the bike being put in a shipping container and being sent to me be to rude to ask for considering i would not be there in person to see the bike??? just to make sure that everything is there that i am paying for.

Hondaman69
October 2nd, 2007, 05:42 PM
about shipping to the island would be a good idea but i have heard nightmares of servicemen getting their bike shipped back by the military and it be scratched up, damages, illegal mileage was put on the bike because the container was opened. i dont think i want to deal with that. they are not very good at ahipping here.

I dont see anything wrong in asking...you are putting out some serious cash...and from overseas without every seeing the bike up front.

Im sure they would understand your request....they better anyways.

if that is not too much trouble for you or scott to take pics of the bike and just to make sure there are no scratches anywhere. because like i said i will not be there to inspect the bike so i need some proof that is it ok and has no damage to it. as you can tell i am in the military and i need to make sure everything is on the up and up and that everything looks good.

well here is what i am doing right now. i have called several dealerships to ask about a 2007 repsol. they said that they can look at their state database and the database for the united states to see which dealerships have the bike. here is the bad news. they can only see what is reported to be on the floor on the database, they cannot see what a dealer might have in the warehouse. so i found a honda motorcycle dealership page on motorcyclist website. it is pretty cool because it list each state and all the dealerships in each state. so i started my journey yesterday to call every dealership in the united states to see if they have this bike and if not if they have it in their warehouse. i figure if i do 2 states a day i will finish by the end of this month. you ask why do i do this? it is because just incase the dealership which has a great deal on the bike in idaho falls sells theres, i just want to make sure there is another one around that i can fall back on. mostly it is because i am hard up on getting this bike no matter what it takes. so wish me luck i know this was alot to read.

1eyebrother
October 4th, 2007, 01:20 PM
They have had that Repsol out of the crate since June.....not too many people were interested from what my buddy Scott has told me....I would almost gurantee that bike will be there in May 08.....they have the bike on the showroom floor but it is upstairs to make room for the snowmobiles on the main sales floor....I can ask Scott and see if they can take the bike off the floor and out of site...just let me know if ya need any help......

Hondaman69
October 4th, 2007, 01:41 PM
if he would be willing to do that it would be great, but if not i understand it is a business and you have to sell stuff to make money. and if the buyer doesnt have the money now then they have to sell to someone who has the money. i was going to call them today after my lunch break to let them know about what my wife said. i dont want to leave them hanging because i tild them i would let them know by friday. i am just not that type of guy that would leave someone hanging. i just want to make sure they dont think i am jerking them around on this deal because i am not i just have to play the waiting game for a couple of months then i will know for sure, unless by some miracle someone buys our timeshare tomorrow. haha

1eyebrother
October 4th, 2007, 01:44 PM
Give them a call and see what the lowest amount of money they would hold the bike for......they might even take 100-200 bucks to hold it until you can put more down.....it is cold here in Idaho and I will be winterizing my bike this weekend.....so I doubt anyone is looking for a bike right now and I know they would love to get rid of it....it was a special order(for me).....they were not even planning on getting an 07 Repsol......just call them and see what they will do...let me know...

Hondaman69
October 4th, 2007, 01:53 PM
i will call them after lunch today because i am a little swamped right now. rough day. i dont know about the money bit because there is no gaurantee of me making the next rank, but i will see what they can do. alot of times when something is out of sight then it is out of mind, so maybe they can move it out of sight or something. i will try to talk to scott this time because the manager greg didnt seem like he would do somethijng like hiding the bike. i dont know, it was just the feeling i got when he called me and we talked about the bike. i coule be totally wrong thought about him considering it is a sweet deal. however i will give them a call today after lunch.

just got off the phone with scott and he said it was already upstairs and kind of out of the way so i am sure someone wont see it unless they are interested in it. anyway i called around today and found some more on the east coast, but they are ranging from 11,500.00 to 14,000.00 out the door, so this is a great deal. i just wanted to make sure there were others available incase this one gets sold. scott did say that he would get in touch with me if there is anyone else interested in it before he sold it, so i thought that was very cool. well hopefully i will advance in rank and sell our timeshare before december and then its on like donkey kong.

Honestly I think that it is only worth 2500 to 3000 IF The frame and forks are still true. I would think that for about $1800.00 You could replace the body parts that are damaged, and you could carbon the engine covers. Find a used cluster and lights.

Found you an 07 for $4500.00.... personally I think it is a little high for it to be salvage title and the damage, but it might be worth looking into since he is taking offers.

I would buy it, but he put the decals in all the wrong places. Who could do that to a REPSOL? :D

Last but not least I want to Thank 1 Eye for helping me get in touch with the dealership which had this Glorious Repsol, and all the leg work you have done for me so far. I owe you a debt of grattitude for what you have done.

Yah now I have to make some choices about which leather jacket to get and a helmet that looks good with the jacket and the bike.

Here are the jackets that I am interested in
3547 3548

Here are the helmets that I am interested in
Shark Helmets
3549 3550
Shoei Helmets
3551 3552 3553

If anyone has any of these helmets let me know how good it goes with the bikes colors. I doesn't have to match it completely, it just needs to be close. also any opinions about these 2 companies that sell these helmets let me know because I havent had a helmet since 97.

I agree with Adam on this one. Paying MSRP on a "limited edition" motorcycle towards the end of the bike's availability (brand new, anyways) isn't out of the question.

If you want a smokin deal, you'll have to find a dealership that just wants the bike off his lot. There are probably dealerships out there that realize they have one of the last remaining brand new REPSOLS and will charge for it. I'd say MSRP isn't a terrible deal all thing's considered.

Whether or not you see a number ending higher than 1500 is irrelevant as there are NUMEROUS VIN number batches (or runs) that BEGIN with different numbers.

Repsols are sold globally, and we know that Australia got 300. If there were just 1500, 20% of them went to Australia?

How many countries are they sold in worldwide? Think about it. We already KNOW that there are multiple Repsols in each of the 50 states in the US alone. EVERY Honda dealership that I have been to here in NC had AT LEAST ONE this year. Even if there were just 1500 in the US thats only 30 per state.

Do the math.

No, no contest......I was asking a true question, MM seems to know more about this subject than most. Since I started trying to research the "limited" aspect of our bikes here in the U.S. It is hard to find out anything, I am sure this is just because Honda does not want to tell or maybe no one really knows.

I have never asked this before because I did not want to sound stupid.........TOO LATE, LOL.
but with there being so many people here with Repsols I wondered if anyone has ever came across 2 repsols with the same last 5 digits.

Yes.

Like I said, do the math. Even using nothing more than common sense you can deduce that 1500 worldwide is a numerical impossibility. 1500 in the US would be 30/state. Does that seem like a high number to anyone? An average of just 30 per State in the US? Hell, one dealership in California sold 37.

Yeah, these threads tend to get ugly and argumentative, but I am stating simple observations that are hard to ignore.

Does anyone know how many different countries globally import Honda Motorcycles? You can bet your ass its alot. Like I said earlier, if Australia got 300 (and that seems to be the only concrete number we have), why would every other country get less? I am sure Japan got alot more than 300.

A good point that one dealership in cali sold 37, but..... if they got that many then some got none (they traded theme off to the big dog). No way I will believe that more than a handfull of places got more than their 5 bike allowance.

There are 3 honda dealerships here in Tucson. The big dog powerhouse dealer got 8 (sold 7) and has one left. The other 2 smaller dealerships got 1 and none. Mussleman Honda has been in town more than 50 years and got to sell 0 repsols. They do have a pocket bike decked out in the repsol colors but that's it. They just don't move 1KRRs, hell they still have a '06 blue and yellow in stock. So 1500 in the states isn't an crazy number to me. 1500 in the world nah probably quite a bit more.

OK this is a good one and it has to do with this post.
well as you all know I am having to wait until I get to Tampa in May to get my Repsol considering I am still here in Hawaii. well my wife is now working for some company that does tax returns and she is making good money plus she gets a percentage of what it costs to do the tax return, so thats even better. So she has been working some long hours because she said she wants to help me get some money set aside to buy this Repsol with cash, so I said no problem. well last night she asks me if I think she is gaining weight. considering she works from 8am to 130pm and then goes and get our kids from school and then goes back to work from 4pm to 9pm 6 days a week and she eats when she gets home at night and then goes to bed so sure the pounds are going to pack on a little, well after looking at her and then being the older and wiser man that I am I think alright if I tell her the truthshe will not work as much, but if I tell her she looks ok that she has nothing to worry about then she will continue to work and make the money. So I said now Leslie you have nothing to worry about you look fabulous, if anything I think you need to quit wearing the shirts that are a little revealing since some young man might come and sweep you off your feet away from me. well lets just say that she bought every bit of it and she is still working hard.

Maybe not the last five, but the last 4 to be sure. Mine is one of them

OK here is a little update.
I have gotten the dealership that 1 eye has hooked me up with negotiated down to 10,500 so far. the salesman might go down a little more, but I don't know for sure.:confused2:
I am trying to find a dealership in Tampa to send the bike to since the salesman in Idaho said that the only way they would put the bike back in the crate it came in is if I had them send it to another honda dealership in Tampa so I said no problem. well after calling a dealership in Tampa today and explaining the situation to him he said he would have to charge me a setup fee to do that. I told him that honda pays for the dealerships to setup the bikes to which he replied yes they do but honda also allows the dealerships to charge for that if they want to. I told him that the bike was already assembled in Idaho and that they would only take off a few parts to put it back in the crate and that would be the only thing to install. he said that he would still charge me a setup fee for me to be able to send it to them. Man I hate dealerships like that.:mad: It seems like they are trying to get some money off anything they can.
Sorry this was so long, but does anyone know of a good dealership in or near Tampa that wouldnt charge me these rediculous fees to have the dealership in Idaho send the bike to them in Tampa?:confused2:

I Need Help
Long story short the dealership that 1 eye hooked me up with that had a new 07 Repsol for sale sold the bike out from under me. If you want more info PM me and I will give you more info.
now here is what I need from everyone here. Please Please Please let me know if you know a dealership nearby you that has an 07 NEW Repsol for sale. I prefer to get one without the sponsor stickers that way I can put them on myself, but at this point I might have to settle. please let me know the name of the dealership, phone number, and who to talk to if you have a hookup at that dealership. Please Remember I only want a NEW 07 Repsol. Thank you for your help in advance. I will call the local dealers in my area and see if those 07's still exist.

Finding one is only your first problem. As you just found out, you're going to have a very hard time convincing a dealership to hold a bike for you without a decent monetary deposit.

They're in business to make money, and probably 75% of the people that walk through their doors are flakes. They can't rely on your good word now-a-days...

If anyone can help me find one I got the money to have them hold the bike until I get to Tampa. I was going to call the dealerships that I found off a website that listed every honda dealership until I got to Tampa, then I will goto a honda dealership and have them do a search around the us and even send out an email to all the dealerships to check their inventory and their warehouse inventory.
Please offer me any other ideas someone might have.

Josh I called erin today and she said they dont have the Repsol anymore.
Adam I called davenport honda and they said that they dont have a Repsol anymore
I found one at charlotte honda, but here is the bad news they took it out of the crate and it had damage. here is what was damaged : the rear section needs to be replaced, front cowl needs to be replaced, right side needs to be replaced, and the dealership cannot give it to me any cheaper even though it is damaged. they said it would cost more to fix than it is worth.
unless these dealerships are pulling my leg I still need some help getting an 07
Please guys help me out and call around your areas and see what you find out, so far I have got the salesman in charlotte looking in the honda database for one, but he said sometimes the bikes dont show up in the database if they are in the warehouse. the database only shows what is on the showroom floor.

Well the one in Wyoming was already sold by the time I got in touch with the dealership this morning. they told me it got sold about an hour after the add was put on the website.
The one In concord ,NC is still there. I pm'd both of you with my phone number so please give me a call and I will give you the info.
long story short the guy bought the bike before he got a job way out of town where he works alot, he wont be able to enjoy it, therefore he is selling it.

The factory Honda warranties are transferrable to new owners. And all the recall info will come to you also.

I am the second owner of my truck and I get any recall notices that are out for it. Same applies to any vehicle.

For $10,500 with only 315 miles your basically getting a new bike, at a better price.

That bike is almost as good as new...and with a 400-500.00 helmet to boot.

I think the asking price is well worth it....I admire your quest for a NEW one, but unless you got cash in hand...and ready to fork it over to whatever dealer has one, right then and there...you may lose it to other buyer.

I dont know the details on how the one in Idaho got away from you....I thought you paid for it.
Asking them to hold it for you is something I dont think they would do unless you put a decent deposit.

Im not sure what a NEW 07 is going for...but if I were you, I would grab this one....only 300+ miles....hell, the thing isnt even broken in yet.

I called around today just incase the guy doesnt come thru with the used bike and sells it to his buddy. Here is what I found as of today.

Richmond Indiana has one that is a demo that has 300 miles on it they are selling for 12,500 cash.

Marysville Ohio has a new one with 2 grand worth of accessories already on the bike which has to be sold with the bike they will not take them off, but he said he could give me a good deal since I was paying cash for it and sell it to me for 15,999 cash.

Medina Ohio has one but the salesman told me that it is not for sale that the owner wants it or someone he knows wants it and that he cant sell it, and he couldnt even give me a price of what he would sell it for.

Alright guys this is getting fustrating.
just got off the phone with the guy's wife who is selling the bike and he is going to give it to his buddy, he has to make sure he gets the loan tomorrow, but she was pretty sure he was going to get the loan.
I just cant afford to pay 12 grand cash right now for a bike that I would have to go pick up or have shipped and then have to pay taxes.
I am kicking myself for not giving the dealership in Idaho 500 to hold the bike, but at the time I did not know if we would have the money to pay it off by the time I move to Tampa.
All I can say is if anyone on either coast has a hookup with a dealership to find out where them Repsols are. I think the highest my wife would let me go for now would be 11 grand, and I would be paying cash for the bike. So if you all have any input let me here it, or a hookup.
I dont know what else to say right now or what else to do.

Adam I know something will eventually come up, but I also know they are selling like hotcakes now that bike season has started again. I dont want to wish any bad luck on anybody, but I kind of hope that guys buddy cant get the loan tomorrow considering he said his buddy had get his affairs in order and maybe might be able to get a loan for the bike, but if it does then I know everyone on the forum has helped me tremendously, but it just seems like the dealerships are trying to make too much money off the Repsols. 1 eye you were totally right I should have put the money down for the bike in Idaho, but joe assured me he would let me know if he had any calls for it and I would definately put the money down then, but I guess that is how it is sometimes you are a day late and a dollar short then you have to really pay for something you have been wanting for a long time. well we will see what tomorrow brings. I am going to throw my number out here to everyone since our household items are getting packed up tomorrow to ship to Tampa, so I will not be able to get on here every day. If anyone knows anything about a Repsol for sale please call me at 808-343-0079.
I know my Repsol brothers will come thru and help me in my search.:D:D:D:D

I did a search of cycletrader.com and found 2 pages of new and used 05' and 07' Repsols. Many were under your $10,500.00 price cap. Check it out.

Alright guys this is about my luck. I just got an email from t-holder the guy that got on the forum from Indiana who I was going to buy the bike from, and here is what it said.

Chris,
Change 101! My DynCorp recruiter just advised me that I will not get paid at the end of my initial two week training but rather 6-8 weeks from the start of that. I am going to be forced to use my money I was saving for my part of the bike to ensure my wife has enough money to pay the bills till my checks start coming in. So I will give you two options. One, if you no longer want to wait on my bike but want to try and find another I understand. Two, You will have to wait until September or October to get my bike. My wife will have power of attorney to sign the title and will have the bike paid off and the title in hand before she contacts you for pickup arrangements.

I apologize for all l of this but this transitioning to a new career is a PITA. As a consolation, whatever you decide, I will mail you my two tickets (with motorcycle parking included) for the Indy Moto GP this year (Sept 12-14th). If you can make it great, if not you can sell them (or save the seats and reserve them for next year, ticket holders get first dibs). I should have the tickets before the end of July and will mail them to you certified mail if you provide an address .

So here is what I need. Who knows where a new 07 is? or a used one with 700 miles or less on it? I prefer it to be on the east coast, but if one is out west maybe I can get in touch with the dealership and see if shipping can be arranged. Also it must have no damage whatsoever on the bike. I tell you what I will do. whoever can find me this bike I will give the indy tickets to them, yes you heard me right I will give these tickets to you. please help me get my dream bike.

You can contact me anytime on my cell or home phone.
cell number 808-343-0079
home number 813-643-0253

Thank you in advance for everyone who is going to help me get my dreeam bike.

I personally wouldn't have posted his private email to you for the public to read on the forum.

Why not just tell everyone the deal fell through? We don't all need to know his personal business - that's between the two of you.

:twocents:

And it's a bummer that you're having problems finding a bike.

When are you looking to make your purchase? Immediately, or are you waiting a while for some reason?

sorry man I was just upset and copy and pasted what he said. I need one now. I just got off the phone with fireintheoval and his bike is still for sale, so if everything works out I might be going that route. His bike has 300 miles less on it, but it doe not have the stickers on it, but that can be taken care of by someone who knows how to put these decals on professionally. I will let everyone know what happens.

How do you find these things out?!!! Holister, that's a pretty discreet location. That Baby would be SOLD long time ago in the Bay Area.

I'm friends with the dealer...and I'm working on becoming a sales ambassador for them...which will make me able to offer fleet pricing to anybody that buys from there as a result of putting my name on the deal.

If you guys want an '08...or when the '09 Repsol comes out, as a Honda Powerhouse Dealer, they can get allocation when other dealers can't.

I've already become a Taylormade Dealer, and will be offering group buys on their great products very soon...including the beautiful pipe for the '08/'09...their Hugger...and FE...check out the preview pics below...it will be debuted at Laguna!!!

Stay tuned for details...RR

P.S. Sorry for the threadjack Man...but I am trying to help...call Fred!!! He might throw in the crating if he has one laying around!!!

I saw this one in California; but that may be too far for you. Sweet bike, for sure. Does it belong to someone here?

This bike is close to where I live. If someone is buying it from out of state and needs someone to just make sure that the bike checks out, I would be happy to drive down and check it out for you.

Thanks,
Benjamin.
