I actually bought my bike with the Jardine already installed, but I do love the sound (very throaty). I installed the pipe on my wifes, and she loves it, granted there are some more expensive ones out there, but I believe these have the most bang for the buck.....:D

I would recommend them, A+++. I would do some shopping around before purchasing the Jardine RT-1. You can actually get them for less than $300.00 if you look around.

According to the Jardine website....headers ARE available for the 04-07.
Check here:
http://www.jardineproducts.com/products/productID/752
514.00 for the header.
You could add to your existing Jardine slip on....or do what I plan on doing, grab the slip on now....and then add the headers later.

I love the plate holder I made, just cut a strip 5" x 1" of Stainless steel at work, bought some stainless machine bolts and lock nuts(8mm) for hugger(5mm) for tag and counter sank the carriage bolt heads into the stainless. Works like a charm, and looks so much better than having to cut the old tag and bolt it to the rear peg...(that is where it was when I bought the bike, I would not have chosen that config).

Dave, please tell me you replaced the sprockets when you replaced the chain. If you throw a new chain on old sprockets, you will ruin the chain pretty quickly as it won't fit right in the worn sprockets.

Does that work in reverse. When I get my wheels with new sprocket, will I need a new chain? Hell the bike only has 300 miles on it.

I did question that and the guy where I bought the chain said they looked fine.

Dave, if you are replacing sprockets don't go stock in the back. The 06/07s already went to a 42 in the rear as OEM (2005 is 16F/41R, 2007 is 16F/42R).
Stay 16 in front and go to 43 in back. Makes a nice bottom end difference without a radical change.

Adding two up in the rear might not work with the stock chain length. Also, you'll need a speedo re-calibrator as your speed and mileage will be off by a greater amount. :)

Thats fine, you don't need a longer chain to go to 43 in the rear.

If you're talking about the CZ wheel deal, didn't it come with a 520 conversion, including chain and sprockets?

NO. Thats nowhere near enough miles to require a new chain (assuming you are getting a 530 sprocket).

Does that work in reverse. When I get my wheels with new sprocket, will I need a new chain? Hell the bike only has 300 miles on it.The kit came with a new Driven 520 conversion. You can either swap it out, or you'll need to purchase a new rear sprocket. I believe a Kawasaki sprocket is what you need to fit on the CZ. If you decide not to install the 520 kit PM me and I'll get you the correct sprocket you will need for the new wheels.

Thats fine, you don't need a longer chain to go to 43 in the rear.Hmmm, if a 114 chain fits the stock setup, I would think that you would want to add a two links if you go up two in the back. It's going to bring your adjuster in quite a bit. When I dropped a tooth in front, I used the stock chain and it through the adjustment markings all out of wack. :)
I say, if you're happy with the way the bike moves now, stick to the stock sprocket size. You won't have to worry about a really bad speedo reading and you'll still retain your stock adjuster settings.

My wife and I discussed that very thing.... I am happy with not loosing top end, everyone I know has went to the 520 set up(gixxer's mostly). I would rather be able to have those few ounces on the top rather than popping wheelies and taking the chance of bending damper rods. Plus I frequent higher speeds more than light to light......I am happy with the way it is stock.
Unless I want to shave 3/10th's of my time at the drag strip...:D

:confused2: I hope it is a simple as putting whatever you shipped me on the bike. I don't mind it if I have to buy anything to get it to work, but since this will be virgin territory for me, I just need to know if it is as simple as using the 520 conversion and slapping on the wheels, and also hoping Davesrepsol helps with the process.
