I ordered myself a Two Brothers M2 slip-on pipe a few days ago and it should be in tomorrow, so i went ahead and took off my stock exhaust tonight. While doing so i removed the exhaust valve thats attached to the stock exhaust. Can anyone tell me if that gets re-installed on the new exhaust, or do they eliminate that with aftermarket systems??? :confused2:

Toss it in the garbage along with the cables. Your new exhaust will replace that portion of the pipe.

Also, dont mess with the servo motor. Just leave it on the bike. It will turn your code light on.

Ya i wish i had that info when i did mine. I went to all the trouble to remove the servo. . . put it all together and fired it up and the light came on. It took me 2 days to figure it out (duh).:shortbus:

While reading up on removing the exhaust valve, i noticed people talking alot about also removing some sort of an intake flapper also... anyone have any info on that? Does it help/hurt?

make sure you remove the cables when you do this if you dont they have a tendancy to get snagged & that can cause all sorts of unwanted problems....

Thanks for all the help, i got the new exhaust installed :D And everything is working good. I highly suggest the 2 brothers M2 slip on! Very good sounding pipe. I also did the intake flapper mod, and it does make a noticable difference, if you haven't done so yet, you should do that too!

I should have some pics up tonight, if not maybe tomorrow... I recently added the OEM seat cowl...Next will probably be a PCIII and some flush-mount front sigs. Who's knows where i'll go from there... i dont know about anyone else, but i think a turbo on a repsol would be absolutely sweet! :D

I would love it - but for the money, I'd buy a second bike, build a motor for the Mustang, or something!

Have you seen some of the turbo sportbike videos on youtube? There's an R1 on there that just can't keep the front wheel down. He rolls on the throttle at triple digits and the front wheel pops right up.

It would be fun, though probably annoying after a while. Kinda like Hondahoon! :p

Hmm so Tim is not glued to Guitar Hero III and said I had to take pictures and post them. So here I am invading the Repsol forum to post pics ;)
We didn't take it out of the garage since we were working on the mustang for most of the time and it was just too damn cold. But you get the idea from these pics.

My Arata is plenty loud, just a better sounding loud to me. I like the lower mellow loud, not the

kackly "rice burner" loud like 2 bros. Just my preference though. Heard on the other day and

was glad I went the route I did. Great sound and makes more power than any other pipe for these bikes.

As for the safety issue, yes you will hear a louder bike... doesent always mean people in cars

are listening though.

Glad you like it though.

Have you heard the two brothers on the 1000?? It isn't rice burner at all. Not the one he has.

I brought the camera with us today but uhm.. it was dead. hah  I was going to take some vid..

Yes, last week. Just sayin I didnt like the sound plus the minimal performance gains turned

me away from buyin the pipe.
