Alright I have been riding the heck out of my new bike I bought it in June/July time frame and I'm a few hundred miles from 10,000. First question: when do I need a new chain, average miles? Second question: What is the best chain? Third questions should I replace the Sprocket when I replace the chain? Finally if so what is the best sprocket? Thanks for everyone's advice in advance.....

O just so you know I ride mostly canyons. If that's a factor....

I am new to these bikes also but i wouldn't think replacing the sprockets would be a big problem if you have kept good matiance on your chain not letting it get to loose and jumping around on the sprocket.

Been wrong before so I am stand to be corrected...

Yea I have prepaid maintenance so I take it in every 500 miles to get the chain tightened and lubed. Not to mention the normal maintenance and cleaning you could usually eat off my bike. I like to keep it clean that a way I know it's always going to perform well and the only thing I have to worry about is the other person and not my bike....
