View Full Version : Werkes Exhaust

Okay....had some time to kill last night looking around for exhausts (you see what you guys are doing to me...when I signed up here I did not even consider buying the bike :yikes: )...

Anyway...I certainly found many of the exhausts shown in the picture thread however, also found the following two:

LASER X-Treme (http://www.laserexhausts.com/en/documents/244/X-treme.html)

They are the manufacturer of the exhaust systems for MV Agusta....and certainly whoever has seen one of the bikes knows that they are the most beautiful ones on earth (both the bike and the exhaust that is). Look nice however, I am not so sure whether they look as bad as on the MV.

Competition Werkes (http://estore.websitepros.com/1784228/Detail.bok?no=408)

In my opinion this is just gorgeous...it provides a cleaned up tail section which I already like about my GSX-R. They also sound pretty nice...at least in my eyes but I am not looking for anything that makes the cop aware 5 miles before I see them...take a look at this video (Short but nice).

In my eyes it looks even more "sexy" than the racing exhaust from Hotbodies Racing (http://www.hotbodiesracing.com). Nonetheless, certainly this also raises the question about heat dissipation and potential melting.

What do you all think about it?

Laser looks cool, no power. Hotbodies, no power looks ok. Werkes looks cool, dont know

much about power gains as it is fairly new. You should check out http://www.repsolforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48

If you havent already. A lot of good ideas. Arata, Sato, and Akrapovic make the best gains.

I like that Werkes pipe! :D

Yes...it is probably still pretty new/uncommon....the guys at my Honda dealership also did not know anything about them...when they looked them up they were also like "great looking", "cool" etc.

I checked the other thread but as I said earlier...I like the looks of a clean tail section...and powerwise...the regular power of the Repsol is beyond my capabilities anyway...so I am not looking for more there...

That's good to know...I agree though...the one in the YouTube video definitely looks different than the ones on the web site - at least color-wise...
