What model Michelins came on your new 07's? That's if they even came with them, I'm just going off the Michelin sticker theory here. Wouldn't surprise me if it came with Dunlops.

Most should be rolling on Bridgestone's/with the balance on Pirelli's. Haven't seen Michelin's on a Honda since '05.

Well, I dunno. When I raced I put the stickers on that paid the most contingency money, not necessarly what I used. Sometimes I would put one set of stickers on one side and a different set on the other side, just to collect the money. I guess that makes me a...well, lets not go there. One year at Daytona I had a Goodyear sticker on the tailpiece. Michelin was paying better money so I picked up a sticker. It wasn't big enought to cover up the Goodyear sticker, so I placed it over the Goodyear sticker so it read "Go Michelin".
My Repsol came with the Bridgestones.

Mine came with the Pirelli Corsas:)
same here.
they don't feel right either. I am so use to pilot powers.
i had to actually slow down on my cornering because the corsas just feel squirley. I was thinking that it was because of being a new bike and all but now i am really thinking it is the tires.
i have about 1/2 an inch of chicken strip left and everytime i try to lean as low as I am use to with the pilot powers, these corsas start wiggling so I decrease my lean angle. It is getting irritating but I dont want to have to spend the cash on new tires yet.

I am like you, very used to Pilot Powers. My 05 came with Bridgestones and I yanked them after 200 miles and got 2CTs. Though I have heard good things about the Pirellis.
Just a suggestion, but it is possible that if you are getting wiggling it could be your suspension set up. Especially with a new bike, might take time to get your settings set to optimum. Have you set it up for your weight and riding style?

I know a lot of this has to do with the bike and not just the tires but compared to brand new metzeler and bridgestones on my FZR600, the corsas seem to stick great....I was leaning lower on the Repsol than I ever did on the fizzer on the very first day I rode it. Still wanna try out the pilot powers though, everyone seems to love em!

Mine came with the corsas too and they are pretty darn good. No problems with feeling wiggly or whatever I have been reading about. Used about the whole thing from edge to edge going up the mountain the first week I bought the bike and they felt solid cruising around the twisties at about 70-80 mph. I know that might be slow for some of you guys but plenty fast for me unless I get to a track.

I have the Bridgestones on mine. No problems with them, dont really have
anything to compare them to. Besides the Dunlops that were on my F4I
they were good tires. Just want to get some Michellins so people will quit
askin me why the tires dont match the stickers.

That is true, Ive heard nothing but good things about them. A buddy of mine
put them on his F4 when they first came out. He said the bike handled so
much better with them. Getting a set is on my to do list for next spring.:D

I'm running Bridgestone BattleAx and they Suck! I just hit 2,000 miles and I have a 1 1/8 inch crack in the rear tire.
Is anyone else running these and having problems??????????
I realize this is a stock tire but shouldn't they last a little longer??? Seems a little short lived to me! Isn't not like they have 2 years on em. Couldn't even make one season in Michigan.

Mine have 2100 on them and no problems. Run the pressure a little lower than on the sticker.
What psi were you running? Post a pic of the crack.

Well here is a pic. I had it looked at and glued for the moment. They said it wasn't a cut. It attracts rocks now so I think it is pretty much done. I was going to wait until spring to put the new tires on, but don't think it will make it that far. We will have snow in a week or less so it would probably be best if the new tires didn't set all winter so I might be done riding for the year. Michigan weather is the pits, 100 warm days and 265 cold days! Just stinks it was a short lived tire. I only have 2,080 miles on it. Oh, well it's only money.

Seems like the tires should be under some kinda warranty for that damage. Have you looked into that?

I too have the Battlax BT015R's and I just hit 6263 miles on my bike and I still have plenty of tread.
Although I think I'm going with the Dunlops next I have never rode on them before I have always had the Michelin Pilot Power 2CT's on my 929 Fireblade in Japan but a friend of mine is going to Willow Springs on the 31's of October for a free seminar/track day for Marine's......and he said he could buy as may set's of tires he wanted brand new Dunlop's for $200.00. I'm going to give him $200.00.

The dealer wasn't all that forward about the warranty, pretty much said no warranty so I am gonna check with Bridgestone directly. I told the dealer I might just have to trade the bike back in. He didn't smile on that either. I really wouldn't get rid of the Repsol! But it was nice to see the dealer squirm.
Yep, new tires it is. I am already pulling the glue and caught 2 rocks in the crack now so I think this tire is done.
