Sorry to hear you need to sell the bike Nabros but congrats on the baby! June is still 6 months away though, maybe you could end up working something out to keep it. Good luck either way and congrats again.

Geez, I'd almost hate to show any interest for fear of looking like the vulture.
Dude, I feel your pain. I sold my gixxer when my son was born. Now that he's older I'm looking for a new CBR. The tough part is, each time you see the light at the end of the tunnel, it seems to get further away. Now my oldest needs braces, school tuition went up etc. etc. :crybaby:
If there is anyway possible to try and hold on to that bad boy, try to. Selling my bike was one of the hardest things I had to do. I am interested, but I don't want to do that to a fellow Repsolite. Congrats on the newest member of your family; let me know if you want to talk about the bike. Good luck!!

No, I'm not a spammer...like you had said in my 'Newbie' thread :) No problem.
That's the reason I had the seller look at my pics to show (hopefully) I'm not a spammer. I work hard for the money I make, and I play hard :). I don't see how my wife could put up with me. But then again, she gets to shop everyday at Nordstrom's so she shouldn't complain :D. However, she's gonna say, "Why in the hell do you need two Repsols?" Ummm, honey, one for Saturday's and one for Sunday's :D.
To the seller of this 2007 Repsol, she's a beauty but I haven't heard from you :(. I had emailed you as well.
Thank you!

Yeah, my bad.
Sounded a lot like those emails you get when posting something for sale on internet calssifieds. They'll say they want it, but are overseas and will need help shipping... etc.
Too bad the seller doesn't make time to check his ad on here, he could miss out on a sale opportunity.

unfortunately he wont go below 12,560 (more then msrp) and the book value is 9400. otherwise I would have been able to buy it already. im super sad.. I wish I was rich.

I wouldn't had a problem paying his asking price, $12,560. The price difference versus $9,400 ain't gonna kill me. I would had bought it providing it is mint. I pay the best for the best.
But, it seems like he's a flake so it was not meant to be....which is good for me :). My time is more valuable than dealing with wishy washy flakes. On to the next bike to buy, which is what I found in the meantime....here she is:

Blue Book on my car is $3,300, yet they're bringing $8,000 on a slow day, considerably more if the right buyer is found.
Still, $12,560 is too much for that bike. You can find much better deals out there. Christ, for easily $1500 less, you can buy a brand new REPSOL from a dealership!

Well i wish I was wealthy like you! :) but he should sell it to someone who is going to appreciate it and take care of it instead of someone who is going to trash it because they can just buy a new one :)

Your assumption is way off base. Especially when you don't even know me. I care for everything I've got and earned. Just because I've got money, it doesn't mean I haven't got values. It is hard earned money with a lot of education background. So, everything I've got was earned.

if you really need another one there were still 2 at the dealership here in Tucson (Arizona Honda) last month - they will sell them new for $11,600 + tax/fees if you ask nice, could try to offer less but they don't seem super interested.

Low blow dude... pretty uncool.
Am I envious of Dakine and his ability to buy what he wants? Yes. Am I going to bash him for it? No.
I am on track to be in the same position within two or three years (not wealthy, but doing pretty well)... and I guarantee my ideals and values won't change.

Yah I have their card because one of the other guys on a forum asked me to go set up a deal for him. They had 2 then but that was about 3/4 weeks ago.
(520) 748-7202
and ask for Lumpy. He is one of the sales guys there that sold me my repsol. If you aren't too worried about price I know they will take $400 off MSRP - no super deals there yet that I am aware of, but they will have them eventually. Got a my f3 there long ago for $6800 OTD, crazy cheap at the time.
Good luck

You've got some sick azz bikes and seeing them next to the hummer is a nice touch. I've got to echo TX's response. Your reply was the way to do it. I've learned not to get in to pissing contests here on the forum ;).
You earned it, flaunt it bro. If I or anyone else here had the paycheck, we would do it to. I'm from the O.C. as well, so got to throw props out to the WESTSIDE!!

Hey, thanks Jason!
Mike,
I spoke with Lumpy, I can't buy the Repsol from AZ. Stupid California law prevents us buying a new bike out of state. It's got to have 7000 miles on the bike in order to bring it into California to register it. California is a freakin Communist State!
Thank for your help anyway. I would had bought that bike from AZ if I could have registered it.

Dak,
Did uh.... Lumpy :weirdface:.........say if he still had two 07's left or has he sold one of them? Just curious. Here in North Cackalacky they don't care where you buy the bike as long as they get their cut when you register it.
I have a buddy here named Lumpy. Never thought there might be 2 in this world.:eek:

Yes, there is a salesperson by the name of 'Lumpy' in Arizona Honda. They've got one Repsol left. I could buy it but I wouldn't be able to register it in California until it hits 7000 miles. Darn, I was going to have them deliver it to me :(. No sense buying it if I can't register the bike in my state.

They have been selling them pretty fast here. If there is only one left then they have sold 7 so far. I got mine at the end of May beginning of June and it was the 2nd one they had out (had more in hiding in the back). I met 2 other guys that bought one and saw one shipped out on a trailer.
When they are gone they are gone - but good deals still to be had on regular '06 and '07 RRs are out there, dress them up as a Rossi Repsol or something from Auctmarts if you miss out.

If you wanna get an outta state bike, you can purchase it. Come back to California.. Get insurance, Go pay the registration fees, get a temp tag.. put 7500 miles on her.. (put em on fast, cause they will probably only give you 60 days) then finish the registration process.

two other options:1. buy a used gauge cluster with 7000 plus on it via ebay...install on bike, register, then reinstall original cluster.2. borrow a cluster from somebody just long enough to register the bike...make sure it has 7000 miles minimum. If you were in my area....and if a 05 cluster will work on a 07....I'd let ya borrow mine.Don't let this technicality stop you.If there is a brand new one at a great price.....and within reasonable distance...grab that baby.

There's State law and there's Federal Law.. Federal Law applies to the entire Union. Whereas each state can creat law's on top of that. California for some damn reason must be the "leaders" or something.
