Hi guys,
I'm just wondering if there's a mod to make both headlights come on low beam (like two really angry eyes!)?
I've seem some with blue lights which also look awesome but I'm seeking the specific mod for it.
Thanks guys and thanks for a great forum!

Thanks guys, didn't realise what can of worms I opened (ref previous thread). Apparently a lot of emotion about these things.. I'll just adjust my high beams down and see how it pans out..

You can allways flip to low when behind another car. The oncoming other side of the freeway debate is bull**** because if you notice the cutoff pattern it's wrong. It should cut off to the left to not blind oncoming cars but it cuts off to the right (Ero/jap/UK RHD style).
Anyhow, I've been through the debate already. You can't change people and everyone beleives their opionion is best even if they are wrong.
ok, back to topic: I had to flip back and forth at night for visibility. I never had any problems with oncoming cars or cars in front of me unlike the exaggerated asswipes when i'm in my truck pretending that my low beams gave them radiation and they eye balls melted.
Solution: Phillips motorcycle bulbs. They are similar to Sylvania extra or whatever they are. They have a longer, wider and brighter beam. For $20ea they are a good deal since you only need one. The have a sorta orange sparkle similar to the blue spark HID's have when you look directly at them. For high beam you could get a yellow fog bulb which would come in handy more often then a white high beam. I have not had to flip to high beam at night since using this bulb (except fog and rain with yellow bulb).

I allways have mine on during the day. That's a no brainer. The argument is having them on at night "full time". I don't know anybody that doesn't use high beams during the daytime. If you look at the beam pattern it cuts off to the right which helps prevent blinding the car in front thrug it's rear view mirror and drivers mirror when passing. Low beam will still blead over to oncomming traffic.
Both lights on low beam would definately be safer but high beam has helped lane splitting at night. Not keepng them on but when cars move over without looking or signaling. Dual high/low would be best. The single beam just doesn't make any sense, it's only for looks.

Or maybe it's because the bikes have such a low powered electrical system to keep everything a few ounces lighter... ;)

That kinda makes sense but then they could have done a dual beam single projector and one 65w buld would require less then two 55w bulbs on high beam which are used in daytime. I beleive Suzuki had or has a one like that.
Well at least Yamaha lights make less sense. Four lights and it's still single sided.

Since that initial thread that got so heated, I've changed my tune slightly.
I now ride with my high beams on during the day (used to ride with low beams during the day), and at night when I'm not surrounded by traffic. If there's a car in sight in either direction, it's low beams at night (no change here, always done that).

i turn my lights off at night so the cops cant see me busting it up on 1 down the freeway or doing runners from the popo when they want to anally insert a pineapple & hell.. if i cant be seen with my lights off then the speed cameras mustnt be able to see me either :evilgrin::evilgrin:
& the other bonus is at least the cargers were right when they come out with the "i didnt see you" when they hit you :p:p
