I decided to do a slip on for my 07 for my present to me from me:) I trust you dudes. The couple or places I have been seem to steer me directly to the most expensive. I get it. That is why i love this site. I am looking for a good sound not real loud. I heard a Lazer that sounded nice. Seeing Im only doing slip on weight is not a big issue. Is carbon for looks and weight? Lasting quality with a good sort of adult sound (that may sound dumb). Is what im looking for. Should I have dealer install and do they void warrenties? A lot of ??? I do appreciate it. I dont nickel and dime ever just want a good deal. Tough when your lacking knowledge. Thanks for any info!

We know what Im gonna say, Arata. Great mellow sound, lots of HPs and light weight. Plus it looks so
good. Carbon fiber serves a couple purposes, light weight, looks and less heat. I had a carbon can
on my F4i, you could touch the can while the bike was running and it was just warm. If you look through
here http://www.repsolforum.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=10, you should get some good ideas.
Search around for prices too. Finally, install it yourself, slip-ons arent hard at all to put on.
Plus if you need help we are all here to help, dont take it to the dealer for something so easy.

There are many to choose from...some produce more HP than others, which accounts for the higher cost.
Whichever you choose, I would save the original exhaust just in case you decide to sell your bike as stock and/or for warranty purposes.
Dont recall offhand if Dealerships gave ya the run around regarding a warranty issue if you modify the exhaust.
I think I saw somewhere a guy swapping out his aftermarket headers for his stock when he had a melting plastic issue.
Besides, stock exhaust wont get ya much cash if you decide to sell it.
Ok, now back to the slip-on....How much are ya willing to spend? If you are a budget there are several S.O.'s that can be had for cheap.
Everybody here is gonna have a pro and con opinion on a slip-on....In my case, I wanted inexpensive, loud, and upgradeable.
I got the Jardine aluminum race for just those 3 reasons.
Jardine slip-ons allow you to add the Jardine header at a later date if you decide to run a full exhaust. They are loud. And inexpensive(217.00)
I wasnt really wanting to spend 400.00+ on one of the better slip-ons being that Im mainly a weekend rider...and not a track ho.

I paid $625 for mine. Im no "track ho", hell Im barely a weekend rider. Love the look and sound.
Plus I live by the saying, "you get what you pay for." Anyway, like you said, everyone has an opinion on
this topic. Rich, your gonna have to do some homework and listen to some different bikes and see what
you like.

I have a Two Bros. on my 07'. It looks good and I get lots of compliments on the sound. At Barber a dude on a Gixxer rode up to me all excited screamin' "What kind of pipe is that? That thing sounds awsome!" I figure with thousands of bikes there and this dude is freakin' out over the sound of mine it must sound pretty good.

Hi mate,
I installed my Stainless Steel Micron using a 05 service manual i 'found' online. try searching for it..
The Micron pipe is awesome btw, deep deep rumble at idle and screaming at the top (check out my pics)! A fair bit louder than stock (which I thought sounded good) but I love it! If loud pipes save lives I'll live for ever! :) No, seriously it's not that loud but the cagers can sure hear you coming..
Enjoy your new pipe! :)
