I am buying all the raw hardware from Cone engineering and starting from the 4 into 2 on the stock pipe, I will remove all after that and build all my own and bring it out the side.... kind of like this....but better, and ceramic coated black

I'm interested to see how this turns out.

It's funny - I always wanted a bike with the undertail exhaust when they first came out. Now that I have one, I can't help but think the REPSOL would look amazing with a cleaned up undertail and exhaust like what you're planning.

I'd like to take a Hotbodies undertail and fill in the hole where their exhaust comes out. Talk about clean...

I just worry that the bike will be insanely loud. And I'm not a fan of insanely loud bikes.

Keep us posted.

Thats how i feel to a tee! The pounds lost will be great and it will have a louver core with packing so its not like it will be strait piped. The hotbodies undertail is the most expensive part. I am trying to find one used:)

That looks sweet. I have a buddy who has a hotbodies exhaust like that on his GSXR 1000 but it doesnt sound too loud, but I agree having that undertail looking smooth without the exaust would look really good.

Like I said, keep us posted... if you pull this off in good fashion, I got dibbs on being that one guy you're willing to build one more for... ;)

im planning on having the same kind of pipe on my bike. but mine will be from 4 to 1....with pipe sticking out about 1-2 inches with titatium materials.

there is a undertail aftermarket plastic from hot bodies...from only $210 bucks. but it will have to be painted. since it comes off black color.

im still working on mine......trying to put the money together. i have one of my friends welding the titatium and molding/benting the pipe (custom made).

This is perfect!!!! That is exactly what needs to happen!!! The ceramic or powder coat would be nice but I dont think you can coat TI???? It just turns material to dust when it heats up and I think coatings cause the TI to rust? I am not sure on the ceramic coating. I had 2 stroke triple cylinder oil injected / mix it yourself in the tank type suzuki's that were very fast street bikes and we would make them fatser with chamber pipes and those were ceramic coated bu they were steel not TI :confused2:
