Dude, that's some serious lean on the street...
I only wish there were roads like that around here. I've got to save all my energy for my occasional track day or the annual trip or two to Arkansas.
Nice pics BTW.

Sweet pics bro. Nice to see a Repsol out doing what it does best. I was born and raised in San Jose before finding my way up here to the mountains. Let me know when you want to tame the Little Dragon and I'll meet you and your boys there and show you the route. :)

I love the little dragon... rode it for the first time about 6 weeks ago in the rain. It stopped raining and dryed out a little later... it was great. Its a long ride out there but worth it:D

I so wanted to make that trip but was out of town at the time. :(

Clearly you weren't looking at your speedo at the time, because that arc would not support 90-95...nor would a prudent rider...Stoner couldn't even run that corner at 90 on his MotoGP mount. 60 is probably closer to reality.
You need to take that knee draggin' to the track and avoid becoming a statistic on the street. Teaching that kind of riding on the street lacks a bit of respect for our sport in my opinion. It's obvious that you were showing off for the camera, which often leads others to do the same and ride over their personal abilities.
Don't get me wrong, I like riding the canyons too, but not that close to the limit.

first off, i didnt even know they were shooting up there.
secondly ive seen you ride, and wreck, dont lecture what you dont know.
third, the kawi has been a student of mine on the track for the last two years
you cant even see the entire arc or layout of the turn, hence you cant see entry and exit angles, so dont act like you can judge that
No, i dont stare at my speedometer while i ride, hence the apx statement
as far as taking instruction... as far as i recall you couldnt even go at a steady parade lap pace for the gp race at laguna when ignascio explictly told you NOT to race off, than you took off thinking you were hayden out of control and unsafe
just because you bought a bunch of carbon doesnt make you fast or under control

Sounds like good news to me considering I have some sweet a-- ride in Idaho waiting for me that I want to keep everyone away from.
:D:D:D:D
I know it sucks for you though considering you already have your glorious 07 and can ride at any time unless it is snowing, so sorry about that.

I didn't post my reponse to get personal, but to use it as an opportunity to promote safer STREET riding. These kinds of discussions are met with energetic and productive debate on SBR as an example, but on BARF this would be viewed as a personal attack, which it was not.
I'm not going to spiral into a verbal fisticuffs with you as there would be no point, but my abilities on the racetrack are certainly not at your level...and yes, I have crashed on the racetrack while learning my personal limits the hard way. I have not crashed on the street.
But out of control on a parade lap...c'mon man... I was riding my own ride at a safe speed, I never got above about 60 while having some fun in front of the crowd....yes, even showing off a little doing a few wheelies, but that was when I was clear of the other 3 riders...on a race track. Ignacio told me to "have fun out there" and put no specific limits on me or anyone else, except..."Don't crash" The nearest thing to an incident on that parade lap was when one of the guys decided to stop in turn 8 or 9 and do a burnout, and was narrowly missed by another guy rounding the bend...but no harm was done...and I was already in the pits.
I'll refer you to this thread on SBR to give you a sense of how good track riders offer good advice on safe street riding...

Very nice! From the picture it looks like our Bear Mountain runs up here in New York. Oh and turns like that are hit over 85mph plus! I am usually in the middle of the pack and when I am can sneak a peek at the speedo thats what I see. So imagine the guys in front who are waaaaay out in front!

We do have some amazing roads out here...I'm guessing he is in the Santa Cruz mountains somewhere...possibly Highway 9, but I can't be sure from the pic...but that's a favorite haunt for local squids...
On the other side of the bay we have Mt. Hamilton, and I thought I'd share a great pictrure from the top looking down over the roads many twists and turns leading to the summit...tighter than Palomar, but no less exciting...especially the back side.
