35 degrees at 3 oclock I said F it I'm test riding it today. 1 hour later with both frozen fingers and a smile frozen on my face I submited and came back home. First time riding an inline 4 and I can say without a doubt it was friggin amazing. 130 in second gear(or was it third?) and pulling so hard I thought my puny body would be hurled off into space upon entering 3rd. Accelerated up to 160..reason took over and went back down to 80. What a blast. I'm sold my friends...1000 cc's for the win.

Congratulations on the new 05. It looks great and I am sure you are ready to add some mods to it soon. I know what you mean about not being able to control yourself from looking at it because I can't stop looking at the pics that were sent to me of the 07 that I will be buying this summer. Who knows how much sleep I will loose when the time comes closer to getting it though.

Congrats man!

Do yourself a favor though... buy two more straps. Next time you haul it, put the two extra straps on the rear of the bike... one serious bump, the suspension compresses, a front strap comes loose, and the bike's on it's side in the truck.

I've seen it happen time and time again...

I think the straps he is using are ok...he is using those "canyon dancer" straps...I went from Idaho to Cali with em.....

The Canyon Dancer has nothing to do with the bike falling over...

Personally, I invested too much money in my bike and tow vehicle to have either damaged because a strap came loose. I'd rather spend $20 extra and take 3 extra minutes to throw two more straps on the rear.

The bikes that I've seen fall over didn't fall over because the strap failed. They fell over because the suspension gave a little, causing the strap to come unhooked from the tow vehicle (truck or trailer). Putting a strap on front and rear eliminates the possibility of this happening...

Regarding the straps, yeah I agree with ya, I have more but it was 11:30 at night and 10 degrees outside when I picked it up...it hurt. For reals I'll put em on the back next time, thx for advice!
