Got all my goodies this weekend. Got a new set of DMP race stands, Vortex rearsets in silver, a Gilles shift support,

a Brembo 15cc reservoir, and speed bleeders. Got a set of Gafler brake lines and the Oh so famous

Pazzo Repsol blue levers on the way :D :D Finally I will be a true Repsolian :p

Im diggin the Vortex rearsets, wanted to go Gilles but didnt want to spend so much and had heard bad

things about them, so I went economical and functional. They are great quality and have great adjustability.

Nosy, aren't I? ;)

Yeah, I went a little overboard with all my birthday, christmas, car and now grad money.

The scoop would be a 355 Chevy small block. Just pulled it outta my 87 IROC that I sold on ebay the other

day. The car is in its new home in MN right about now, the guy picked it up this morning.

Its gonna be sitting on the stand for a while until I find a new project.

We have the same thing. Mine is just red on top. My wires are tucked between the rearset and the

master cylinder to keep them away from the exhaust.

Mines made by Goodridge.

What does that Gilles shifter support do?

It eliminates the free play in the shift rod that comes out of the motor. Basically makes for more

accurate and smoother shifts.

I see you're not using the lifters that came with the adjusters. Are they made specifically for the Pit Bull or something?

You are missing the little bracket that hold the rear of the chain adjusters into the swing arm.

No, you have to buy special adapters for the stand to use them. They are like $30 or so. I was thinking

about taking them to work and having my buddy in the machine shop make me something.

I put them on yesterday. I just mounted them up really quick and took pics of them without the lifters

on them. I decided that I might not use the lifters so I had to go and buy the cap screws instead of the

counter sink ones used on the lifters.

Got round five today. This one sucked. A lot of parts had to come off to get this mother $*#%er in.

Its an A-tech intake. Waiting for the DNA race filters to come in. This was a PITA and I hope it was

After a long six months of cold, snow and a few less $$$ in the pocket, I finally got to take her out today.

Its only in the mid 50s but I couldnt take it anymore. Left work early put some gas in her and fired her up.

Everything works great, the rearsets work awesome, super smooth and firm shifts. Brakes are a whole new

world from before, firm and effortless to stop. I really liked the shorty levers too, was loving the two finger braking.

Overall, I am impressed with everything I added to the bike and just want to thank everyone here for

your input on parts and hope that this thread helps other decide what to buy for future mods.

Only in the mid 50s??? Mid 50s is warm! Sissy...:p

I ride year 'round, long as there's no ice on the roads, I'm riding!

Nice work doing all the winter mods though... I'm jealous.

CBA, I picked up the Gilles shift support after first seeing this thread and love what it did for the bikes shift action. Seems to really clean up the down shift action in particular. Anyway, I was looking at getting the Pazzo shorty levers and was curious as to how the clutch pull is in your opinion.:confused2: While I normaly only use 1 or 2 fingers for breaking, I find I most often use all 4 with the clutch. More out of habit than anything else I guess. Thanks.

Check out this thread (http://www.repsolforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=943&referrerid=138) - it's a group buy that came around a while ago. The group buy is over, but the idea is still cool and is still available. The Repsol blue matches the bike very well.

I got a shorty lever for both sides. I love it on the brake side, as I only use one finger on the brakes. You could easily fit two or three fingers on the shorty brake side.

For the clutch, I almost wish I had the long lever. I use 4 fingers on the clutch and it's very tight. So much so that my pointer finger doesn't fit on the lever - it's more to the inside of the lever when I put my pinky finger right on the outside edge.

For me, it didn't change the clutch feel at all.

Yeah, I noticed a difference in the way the bike shifted with it also. Well worth the money IMO.

I liked having both shorty levers. I could only get three fingers on the clutch and didnt really notice any change

in the pull of it.

Can anyone confirm speed bleeder size for the front master cylinder? Some sources indicate a 7mm x 1.0 and others say 8mm x 1.25. I am putting on steel braided lines for brakes and clutch and thought I would do all the speed bleeders at the same time. Anyone have any tips on this procedure? Why did you decide not to use them Adam? Thanks.

Cant remember which size went where. Sold them to TX, maybe he can help you out. I decided

that it was easy enough to bleed the brakes alone that I didnt need the speed bleeders and could

use the money for other things, so I sold them. Its really not that hard to bleed them alone.

They would work great for a car/truck application though.

Maybe I'll skip the speed bleeders and pick up one of those HarborFreight stands instead.
