I'm more into sport bikes but for some reason I've taken interests with buying Ducati's Hypermotard.
I'm into photography so my purpose is to get the Hypermotard to comfortably cruise to places to get some scenic shots. It would be more comfortable than riding a sport bike with photography in mind.
Have you heard good or bad things about the Hypermotard? I'm about to get one out of curiosity. The 1100S runs around $15k.
Thanks

Aesthetically, it's a beautiful example of what a Motard should look like, I've ridden ducatis since I was 16 and everything Ducati does is beautiful. However people have complained at its funky handling. They compared it with the KTM supermotard, which I've ridden, and liked the KTM much better. You said you wanted to cruise to places for some scenic shots and found this review: "The fuel tank will limit your touring ambitions because its two-and-three-quarter-gallon capacity will have you hunting for petrol stations every 80 miles or so. The Hypermotard is not intended for this sort of thing, but I think it's a shame to limit any machine in this way because most riders have only one bike. Even if they go touring only once a year, they might well reject the Hypermotard for no other reason." But would I buy one if I had the money? An emphatic YES. Go do it man.

Thanks for the info Mark.
The other option is to buy a matching 1098 but yellow this time :).

Hey Mark,
Would a 2007 KTM 950 Supermoto ride better than the Duc Hypermotard?
