I am planning to attend a course at Leguna Seca on May 26 and 27. If anyone is interested check out

The guy with long blond hair on the home page is a friend of my father. My dad and I attended the course in November 2006 at Willow Springs. There was an A Group (fast), and a B Group. I was in the B Group. 20 minutes on the track, then 20 minutes for lessons, rest, hydrate, and restroom.

Here is a good list of track time/instruction providers across the country. There has to be something closer to N.Y. than Laguna Seca!!!

Another good one not listed there is; http://sportbiketracktime.com/

I have a subscription to "Roadracing World & Motorcycle Technology" magazine. They recently sent me a special edition, everything you would want to know about track day. It included a track by track schedule for 2008. The schedule also explained requirements for that track.

Just remember....Laguna requires you to run a stock exhaust.
The rich folks in the area had enough of the loud pipes.
I just checked that site...and it doesnt state the stock exhuast requirement....I would call and ask, just to make sure you dont take YOUR bike down there for nothing.

Looks like the cost is $425 Monday and $395 Tuesday. Take both save $75. So $372.50 per day. See the CLASS Rides web site for bike setup requirements; the usual, lights taped or disabled, mirrors removed or taped, good tires. Laguna Seca has a 92 db noise limit.
