I think its called tire hugger. I thought I saw somone on here with a carbon fiber looking tire hugger and chain guard? I think it would look way better than the stock black plastic. Could be called fender hugger. Any info thanks.

Honestly, Google is your friend on this one.

I had the carbon fiber bug for about 20 minutes, then I searched on Google and saw the prices for each little piece.

There are quite a few pieces on Ebay just about any day of the week as well.

I plan to paint my stock hugger in Repsol blue for the subtle look. I believe another member here has already done it.

2 things mark 986 posted a pic of a carbon looking hugger and that is what im talking about. And what does it take to paint the stock one being it is plastic. Then most of you lose the chainguard?

Found a use for some of the extra windscreen decals......I thought it looked nice, not as nice as getting the tire hugger painted.......;) I actually clear coated the hugger this evening, Made it look much better.

Never buy any thing that has "Carbon Look" The cheapest ugliest thing you could ever do to your repsol. Tons of locals run the Carbon Look Mirrors, Levers, and other random parts and it just looks like pure ****.

I assure you i will be backed up on this response but do not buy!!!!!!!

K. Thanks and I know what you mean. My bar ends look kinda cheap. So now what? I really like that look. How much is real carbon piece? I will check to make sure the Puig is not real carbon. And painting it seems like it would look lame unless you get a different type of plastic. But I do not nickel and dime stuff let alone my baby!

all carbon has different looks, color, and designs.

I would just stick to a true carbon fiber as its a truer black and will not stick out as much but still give a great look...

Think your right the kevlar seems to have a gold tint to it. But that is why I thought it may blend in nice. So hard to tell without seeing it in person with the bike. Safer with just carbon i guess.

You do realize that all of the fairings are plastic as well, right? They all hold paint pretty well... don't see why the hugger would be any different.
