2007 was a very good year for young Deion Campbell, Rider 95. He finished out his Supermoto season with championships in two over-classes at SMRRC, winning both the 250 and 450 championships on his Honda CR80. The season closing event included strong showings in all of his races, taking 2nd in the 250 Supermoto race on October 28th at the Stockton Motorplex Park, 2nd in the 450 SuperMoto, and an overall and class win in the 2 hour enduro, winning by a wide margin over the rest of the field.
SuperMoto Success!

Deion also enjoyed a great start to his road racing development program in 2007, laying down impressive times at Thunderhill Raceway under the watchful eye of Keigwins @ the Track, who came aboard as a track day sponsor in 2007 and will be continuing with Deion in 2008. During the season, Deion was able to work with Doug Chandler and his son, ride with Cameron Beaubier, and work with a host of other great mentors in the road racing world as he worked his magic on his RS125.
In Deion’s own words…
“As I reflect back on 2007 I am grateful for the support I have received, the friendships I have made, and for the goals I was able to achieve in my lap times during my track days and the championships for my Supermoto racing.
For 2008, I really would like to do a great job in my first year of road racing.”
A thank you to our 2007 sponsors…
While 2007 was a development year for the road racing program, it was a banner year in helping Deion’s existing sponsors get product exposure through his Supermoto success and included some new sponsors coming aboard during the year.
Thanks to Bruce Porter at Arai Helmets who protected Deion’s noggin for all of last season, and will be continuing support during 2008 for Supermoto, dirt, and road racing. Phil Douglas at Aftershocks very effectively helped plant Deion’s Supermoto bike to the ground during 2007, while we also had the wizardry of Dave Moss at Catalyst Reaction Suspension Tuning on our road racing setup for Deion’s RS125.

We were very excited to bring Repsol Lubricants aboard in 2007, and working with Ignacio Belloni has been a distinct pleasure. We are pleased to report that Repsol will continue as a sponsor in 2008 along with Keigwins @ the Track with Lance and Linda Keigwin continuing their commitment to young development riders. Deion’s tires have been supplied by Forward Motion’s Harley Barnes with help from Bridgestone consultant Steve Turner, and 2008 will continue to see Deion riding Bridgestone in his road racing program.
CycleGear has offered great product discount support during 2007, and we are looking forward to continuing our relationship with CycleGear in 2008. A special thank you is also going out to Alex Torres at Fast Line Cycles for tuning and engine refreshing, Eric Pestrana at Eazy Clothing for supplying top-notch pit shirts with sponsor patches and other apparel, and Will Kenefick at RetroSBK for their support in 2007 by sending Deion to a Buttonwillow track day and for RS125 spare parts. Additional support was provided by Deion’s Godfather, Sage Wilkinson from SDS Performance who handled the porting for all the bikes and finally Matt Bruni at FBN Racing who supplied rock solid billet triple clamps for both dirt and pavement applications, both continuing support for 2008, along with Catalyst Reaction.
2008…New Season, New Sponsors, New Bike…
Campbell Racing is very excited to announce a number of new sponsors for Deion’s 2008 road racing program. He will be focusing on USGPRU for 2008, with some select WERA and AFM events thrown in for good measure and racecraft development. First, we want to thank Shawn Herrera from Mazda Technologies who has worked with a number of young up and coming riders, including Cameron Beaubier, and will be helping Deion financially for his USGPRU attack. Thank you to Jeff Weiner at Alpinestars for supplying Deion with his neck to toe protection for 2008. Alpinestars makes great products that not only look good, but will offer the best possible protection for a rising star.
We also want to say thank you to Charlie VanValkenburgh from Pit Bull who will also be joining us in 2008 providing equipment for our pits; MotionPro, providing tools to keep the bike ready for battle; Laboratory17 who will be handling the graphics on the new bike and making it an eye catching beauty; and our latest addition, Elite Chiropractic and Sports Clinic where Dr. Ho will keep Deion’s body in top condition throughout the season. We are proud to be representing so many great companies and will be keeping them in the limelight as Deion continues pursuing his record of podium finishes in 2008.
Speaking of the new bike, we just picked up the very fast and extremely dialed-in RS125 that belonged to Cameron Beaubier, the European Red Bull Cup rider that will be in the Red Bull Academy in 2008 under Alberto Puig. The bike was prepared and tuned by the mastery of Roland Cushway. Below is Deion chasing Cameron at Thunderhill who is riding the newly acquired Campbell Racing RS125.
