Has anyone tried the Goodridge superbike steel braided front brake lines? Single line from the master cylinder, splits into two just above the front fender to the calipers. They cost like 170.00, vs about 65 for the normal two line set up. I'm not convinced the superbike ones are any better plus the price is outrageous. This is normally one of the first mods i do on my bikes. Also, does anyone have or used the mityvac brake bleeding system, I looked up one for $40 and looks like it will help, i hate pumping the brake lever 10 thousand times ( well, actually the wife does).

A buddy of mine has the brake bleeder pump that you are taking about, he absolutely loves it. It is so easy to use, he changes his fluid twice a riding season.

As for the braided lines, I have never used them. For the average street riders, I see no real advantage because my bike never undergoes extreme and repeated hard braking. To be honest, I don't think I would be able to tell the difference based on how I ride.

Then your hands are numb. You will know instantly you will have a more solid lever and more feel. You will be able to bake with your pinkey if bleed properly. If you couldnt notice a difference you must not be ridin very hard.

The superbike lines are amazing lay your finger across the lever and you are braking, you realy wanna go all out go woth the minus two superbike lnes. they are worth every penny.

I could really tell the difference between stock lines and steel braided. If you don't feel like spending the extra $ for the superbike ones, just get the regular braided ones.

About the mityvac, got one. As long as you remember to put some teflon tape around the bleeders, it's the easiest thing to use. Most bikes will have some type of sealant around those threads but it wears out pretty quick. If you don't do the sealant, the mityvac will pull air thru the threads which will make it a little harder to bleed the lines. I can change the fluid in all my brake lines and clutch line in about 15 minutes. Easiest thing IMO.

I may need to rider someones bike with them then. I honestly never thought it would make much of a difference, but based on your guys experience, I may look into them. Thanks for the info.

By the way, nice Goldwing in your avatar (should be #69 though).;)

I had Goodridge make me a set similar to those, but with forged 90's on the caliper ends. They are awesome - but I also added Brembo 4-pad monoblocks, 19x20 M/C and 320 rotors at the same time, so I don't how much improvement was made by the lines. They look great though - much cleaner by the master cylinder.
