Hi Guys..Just wondering if your 07 repsols seems sluggish until you hit 2500 to3000 RPM? Once i hit the 2500 to 3000 mark, the bike really wants to take off. Just seeing if this is normal or if i need a different fuel map?

I have heard from a few folks that this is normal. I just don't remember my 05 acting like that. Hmmmmmmmm

I don't know exactly;however, I have heard from others that they tweaked the bike for more midrange power over the 05. Maybe the loss of power under 3000 RPMs is the cost for more midrange. Besides, the only time a bike sees under 3000 RPMs is at idle, right!:D

Have you done the flapper mod on the '07 yet? That really smoothed out my low end.

Hopefully i can get to this tonight or tomorrow. I didn't do the mod on my 05, but can you really tell the difference? Do i have to remove my plastics to do this?

BK. What is the flapper mod and how do you do it? :)The flapper mod is just disabling the flapper control, leaving it in the open position. I seems to be a emissions device to help keep the bike quieter for meeting stringent noise restrictions.
It's a very simple mod which takes only a few minutes to complete. More info can be found on Speedy's site:
