I can't beleive it, but I just got the call, 4:40 EST my bike is here!

The dealer is planning a big unveiling of the Repsol 2007 CBR1000RR along with the new CBR600RR! Unfortunatly they picked Saturday at 2:00 EST, while the Daytona 200 is going on. I was crew chief for a TZ750D in 1989 in Daytona, so I can't miss the race. I told the sales guy to get a big screen TV in to show the race during the unveiling. They're working on it. I can't wait to see the Repsol! This will be the longest 2 days of my life!

I cut work today to watch the Superstock race on Speed Channel this afternoon. Youd think at 60 I'd get over this type of ****! Not!

I haven't been this excited snce my CBX came in in 1979! Yipee!

I think my earlier hunch on why mine wasn't here yet is coming true. I thought my dealer would get mine in when they deliver the new 600RR to them, sounds like your dealer is doing the same thing. Mine ships TOMORROW from Chicago and I will have it next week. :) Congrats..

Congrats bro.....I'm with you. I also remember when my 79 CBX came in as well. Still got it too. I plan on keeping this Repsol for as long as it runs.

I still have mine too, frame #54, 1979. I ordered it when the "Cycle" magazine story came out. I still have the magazine too. The bike still runs and looks pretty good considering it has never been "restored" and it's, what, 28 years old.

The second shot is of my wife standing with the bike, She took a liking to the CBR600RR which the just unveiled for the start of the Daytona 200. Hopefully I can pick my bike up next Wednesday. The temp is forecast to be 70 Wednesday.

Yea, but I need to check their work!

Actually, there are two bikes they got in, mine is still in the crate. Wednesday I'm cutting class (work) and going over while they set the bike up. They said they will dom the stickers, but I can help. I want to see the whole process. I downloaded BKs set-up instructions and am armed with my mm scale.

The downside is my wife fell in love with the CBR600RR and now I have to buy one of those to settle her down. Geeze...

I picked the bike up yesterday and she's comfortably bedded down in the garage with the rest of the fleet.

I was surprised at the comfort level. I was expecting the ride to be uncomfortable, but it really wasn't too bad. I's difficult to fold my 60 year old frame up on seat. I'm also really impressed with the power of the front brake. It was rush hour on the way home so I couldn't explore the throttle too much. I can't wait for some good weather to get out and get to know her. Snow is forcast for the weekend.

Awesome, of course we are going to need a picture of you on your new blade. :)

I was surprised at how comfortable the '05 was. Soon after picking the bike up, I went on a nice long 600 mile jaunt with some buddies. I'm 6'5" but I don't at all feel cramped on the '05. I was surprised to find that I didn't feel the least discomfort the entire day. Well, except maybe for that big giant grin on my face, it was tiring out my cheeks just a bit.

I'll get new pics as soon as I get a chance. It's suppose to snow Friday and Sat. I don't want to get the bike dirty so any I take will be in the garage.

I bough an '04 VFR last November, partially because I couldn't sit on either the CBR600s or 1000s. I was willing to disregard the pain for a Repsol, but I couldn't find one. When I saw the '07s were coming out I ordered one anyway. I guess I retrained my hips on the VFR sinca I found the CBR comfortable on the ride home last night. Can't wait to get a real ride in.

Look into Heli Bars. They make some nice clipons that raise the bars up higher and closer to the rider for a more comfortable ride. I thought about getting a pair, but with a cost of $300, I figured aspirin was a little cheaper.

I'll check it out, thanks for the tip. Pouring down rain today, but it's suppose to be sunny Saturday and Sunday, albeit coolish, mid 40s. Maybe I can get a ride in.
