I finally finished it today because I took my time and pics during the install to post in a How-To thread later...

This is for the '08/'09 1000RR, but I thought I'd give an advance look to those of you considering the '09 Repsol...this cleans up the tail real nice...

Notice how thin the profile is from the side...

It comes with an integrated LED license plate light that is very bright, and the kit includes the license plate mount and the turn indicator mount...

The kit has typically beautiful TaylorMade fit and finish, and I opted to select my own turn indicators which I recommend but there are some that Taylormade can supply which are optional in the kit (not shown)...aren't the ones I picked SEXY...!!!

I will be offering these for sale very soon and of course at a nice discount from the MSRP...ENJOY...RR

Looks killer losing that stock light/plate mount arm.....really does clean that ass end up. Seems riding with a pillion though on the 08 they are halfway to the moon sitting on that tail....there anyway you can lower it down? Personally think its alittle on the high side but maybe thats just the "in" look at the moment! :D

Great job though!

Rear pegs are a bitch to remove, and I plan on taking a little lady for a ride soon anyway...so they're stayin'...

Ah....nevermind then.
Didnt realize that they were difficult to take off....thought it was 4 bolts like the 04-07's

I never took them off my '05 and only had a passenger twice...they don't bother me...and I kinda like them all blacked out on the SE...

I heard the easiest way to remove them on the '08 is by taking off the sub-frame...

Looks great, so why would someone limit themselves to 0 chance on a seatcover/passenger:confused2: Save 12oz? Or maybe have fun with...... To each his own.

I'm hooked. Do the turn indicators throw some light?

I'm hooked. Do the turn indicators throw some light?

They are incandescent and throw a ton of light...but remember, these are not from Taylormade...they're the ones I picked 'cause I thought they were trick...really small (2") and have nice lines...almost the same shape as the mirrors on the bike, but rounder. I paid $40 for them at CycleGear.

The kit is $185 from Taylormade with plate mount but without the indicators, and $220 with their supplied shortie indicators...I haven't determined my discount yet, but it will be more than 10% off.

For those that prefer to use some other brand of plate mount and indicator mount...the price for the FE alone is $150 from TM direct.

i like this one because of the carbon fiber....but it needs the bikelitez turn signals. if they made it like that...i'd buy it for an 09 in a heartbeat.
