Not sure...i would like to know also.
I just usually recieve the popular left hand middle finger up,
Why do they hate my bike so much seriously?
I took it out to a local bar strip.
Its a common bike hang out. mainly cruisers but lots of chicks.
I did get more attention than i did on my old 02 grey and black cbr 600.
I did notice the harley riders did surround my bike but it was to make comments about rice burners and jap bikes. I think it was to cover up from saying "thats a nice ****ing bike!" while anyone was around.

Just a way of saying "what up" fellow biker....atleast that is the way I take it.....I get that from sportbike to Harley riders.....that is how I take it, then again I could be wrong....

I think it has evolved into "hey what's up", everybody thinkin' the riders were trying not to look like geeks wavin their arms. A buddy told me it was originally just harley riders trying to catch parts.:D

The only reason I 'give' the two fingers down wave is because I always ride with two fingers on the clutch, and one on the front brake, so it is just a quick, "Wazzupp" for me, and my two fingers are back on the clutch.

You will see some people wave with the whole hand, some with just two fingers. It's all the same.
