I would think running an orange tailight might be pushing it with the police/DOT. Turn signals are orange (amber) and might throw people off when they see it light up, even with Red LEDs. Just my opinion, besides, I can't see my tailight when I ride.:D

It really stands out, I'm not sure I like it. I think maybe a blue or smoke would look good. They sell a blue one, I wonder how that would look on there. I have seen their green lights on a 636, and although the lenses are green, the lights inside are definitely red when lit. So much so that I don't think the LEO's would have much problem with them. Let's face it, those probably have no idea what is coming out on these things stock nowadays!

Thats what I was afraid of LEO getting on my case. I think it looks kind of like a jets after burner. I might just stick with the smoked or blue lens. So the brake and turn signals look the correct color when lit? are they just as bright as the OEM?
6speed, do you have more pics?

If you go to the page to place an order, the orange is shown as an option. There is also an option to add a flasher for $14.99. Is that to stop them from blinking faster than stock?

Okay, I found that answer myself almost immediately after asking... So, if I go for the replacement flasher, where is it located on our bikes?

Well, the flasher relay on my 900RR is up front between the bucket and the gauges. I'm thinking it may be the same on the 1000RR, but I'll check.

flasher relay for the 05 repsol is between the headlights.
flasher relay for the 07 is under the left fairing. way easier to get too. just take off the left fairing and it is in front of you.
wish i had a pic for you when i installed my CUSTOM LED flasher relay on my 07.

I have these in front (LED flush-mounts) in smoke:
http://www.sportbikeeffects.com/proddetail.asp?prod=332%2D0000
I ordered these before even getting my bike because I like the idea that they incorporated the running light feature normally present on the stock turn signals. They also stick out just enough to be seen but still have that flush-mount look.
I have a CA out back and I ended up buying this relay:
http://www.customled.com/PRODUCTS/FLASHER_RELAY/flasher_relay.htm#elfr1
The relay was a plug and play installation and says it will handle LED's, incandescent bulbs and any combination of either for up to a 10 amp load. Although, with LED's all the way around I doubt I will hit 1 Amp total current.
The only thing I would mention is that I used two zip-ties during the installation. The first one was to mount the “LED” relay in the stock location and one to secure the extra wire that comes on the relay. Other than the zip-tie thing, I am completely satisfied with the performance of the relay, as it blinks the turn signals at a COMPLETELY stock flash-rate. I did a quick test of the lights both before and after installing the relay and the flash rate is about double without the LED relay.

Thanks, sa57449. I think I'll try that relay for the price you can't go wrong.
