wow, not sure who would pay 45,000 for an 05 Repsol, unless it came with an 07 Repsol, Ducati 1098 and a MV Agusta....

Put the brakes on there sparky!
That is one of those Ebay scams where people advertise Repsols and scam people out of money.
Read further down and you will see that he is offering to sell it for $2900.00. This is common and Ebay always pulls these auctions because they are false. The pictures are usually copied from someone elses legitimate auction.

Some nice guys out there bid the hell out of the price to discourage newbies and otherwise unknowing bidders from getting scammed. Then it gets on Ebay's radar.

Well i feel my repsol is worth 45000 to me ...I was just kidding bout selling mine.
I felt like he was expressing how much he loved his repsol.
It does look like a scam though.
I do think we can raise the price though maybe not 4500o but like up to 15000 or 16000 possibly.. Its not far fetched. Ive seen the R1 50th anniversery go for 19000 and i love my repsol more. We are the few and privledged who have the 05.

Any ebay ad that offers an unrealistic price and displays their email address in the description is a scam. "Don't use my ebay account, send all emails to blahblah@hotmail.com" is surely a scam. I had my ebay account hijacked once, received an email from ebay to confirm my email address change. Guy already listed an auction before I could stop it. Ebay fixed everything.

unfortunately yea those are scams when they say buy it now for some ridiculous low amount people will just bid an enormous amount on them so no one bids and gets scammed. i believe the R1 you may have seen was the Limited Edition or LE model R1 which is loaded up with ohlins forks and rear shock, marchesini wheels, etc etc and they only made a very small amount of them.

Oh yes, they are beautiful machines. I saw a Yamaha YZF-R1 LE at the Laguna track day last week. Can't believe the guy was trowing around a $18,000 motorcycle like that. :)

Yea they are nice.
I actually might get that 50th if i find another one.
i am willing to finance it.
Does anyone know if the yamaha warrior is any good.
I road one a year ago and was impressed by the power and handleing.
i only road it once so dont know the over all feedback on them only what that one person said.
He loved the bike...but he was also trying to sell it to me so didnt take his word as golden.
My next bike was going to be something i can learn stunts on but i think im gonna lean towards a cruiser...just because. :) or the 50th anneversiry R1 if i see one again.

I almost fell for one of these scams. Sometimes you see people sell a bike really cheap because they just need the money right away and I thought the scam was one of those cases... Until the guy asked me to send him money through WESTERN UNION. I was like HELLLS naw!
I look forward to the day I get my bike so I can ignore these things on ebay too.
