Sportbikecam.com (http://sportbikecam.com) tank camera mount. I got some good feedback from some others using this and although I don't race, thought it would be cool to watch every now and then and reflect on places I ride to... Easy install and I can't wait to try it out. The weather is going from the 60's and 70's last week back down to the 30's tomorrow and the rest of the week All I can do is look forward to next week...

I've seen it done, but do not remember where, I think it was in a 2 Wheel Tuner magazine or Super Strretbike mag...

This my '99 CBR 900 with a rear mounted camera and the monitor mounted on the 'H' bar. Used to pop the cam corder in the trunk and ride the trails with the boyz. Very good quality.

hey neff,
i just got the sportbike cam mount. I also have the same JVC Everio camera. have you had a chance to try your camera yet?
My camcorder works great until i mount it on the bike and ride with it. I then get an error message that says "Video Management File is Broken. To Record/Playback Video, Recovery is Required. Recover?"
I can perform this recovery and the camcorder operates normally. Then, on the bike again the error message occurs when i take off.
Seems to me the vibration from the bike is disrupting the HDD. I was wondering if you've had the same issue.
I'm thinking i will have to get a miniDV or something that writes to tape instead of HDD.
thanks,
rhino

i have a 8mm camcorder....it is a good size for the bike.....it records good, since i have also a remote control.....i taped it next to my headlight switch...i can zoom while on the road....it breaks your concentration so i dont use it.
8mm cams works very good.
by the way....i recorded my rides to vhs.....showed me my family....they all said ... YOU ARE CRAZY RIDING LIKE THAT......my wife gave me a spank.

Man, I've got to start recording some of my rides. The way I ride, I'd probably get a lot more than a spanking! :D

I found out the same thing from another that uses it also, mine said the same thing as yours, exactly. You need to buy an SD card to put in the bottom of the camera (they are a little bigger then a reg. camera memorry stick), and record to that instead of HDD. Your right the vibration will not let it record in HDD. This guy I talked to uses his at the track, with an SD card and has no problems since...I just bought a Sandisk 4GB card off e-bay a few hours ago for $46.00...Best Buy charges $100.00 for the same card. I was told with the 4GB you can get a solid hour of footage, 2GB 1/2 hour etc. Hope this helps. Sandisk was the inventer of this product and I have heard they are the best. You can buy others, ie: sony etc, but the prices don't vary much. Let me know how it works, as I probably won't get to use mine for another week or so...

that's what i thought it was ... i bought a 2GB sandisk card when i purchased the camera. i didn't try that last night but will definitely give it a try and let you know. if it works i'll get the larger size.
thanks much!
