I came home from riding today and noticed one of my forks are leaking oil.My question is I wanted to know how much is it to fix the leak issue in the fork seals. Is it a simple fix?

It can be a very simple fix...often it's just some dirt that got by the dust cap and is stuck between the fork and the seal...

In this case you got to Cycle Gear and get a Seal Mate...a $2 item and follow the instructions to clean the seal very quickly and easily.

If you actually have a damaged seal you are dealing with a much more complex problem and I never recommend that somebody try to replace a seal themselves...special tools alone will cost you enough to justify the dealer doing it...and it's a difficult time consuming messy job.

I actually had a damaged seal on my '05, so I had to get the seal replaced...but you only need to replace the damaged side...no reason to replace both if only one is leaking.

Cheers...RR
