OK here is the mystery since (MARCH 1st)new with 2miles on the 07 Repsol I remember the fluid in the clutch resevoir being very dark, almost black. Had the bike in today for its 600 mile service (REPSOL 4T RACING OIL) anyway forgot to mention the dark fluid , When I picked it up I remember so I asked the mechanic about it he said it was normal. What should I do HELP!!!

Well I couldnt leave it alone, got out my brake bleeder and sucked most of the fluid out of the resevoir ,had a little bit of black particules sucked them out, Poured in new dot 4 and stuck the bleeder on the bleed valve got it up to about 20 pounds of suction had my son pump the clutch up and hold looked like I was sucking air with fluid maybe leaking around threads did this a couple times. Done , Took it for spin and clutch works fine, Ill see how long it takes to turn dark again..

ANY IDEAS OR SUGGESTIONS PLEASE:D

Buddies 06 did the same thing right away. I have 220 miles on the 07 Repsol and mine is still clear, darker than when it was new, but clear.

It is normal. Just put some sweatbands over them. :D

+1, normal. If you install a braided line it seems to take longer but it will still go dark on you. If you use a mityvac, put some teflon tape around the bleeder threads so it won't suck in air.

diel11,
What a lifesaver. The teflon tape saved me a lot of headaches. I thought my vac hoses were messed up:mad:. They bled via gravity and constant pumping but I could not keep air from getting into the system. After bleeding them for the third time I read about the teflon tape and whammo!!! I pulled the whole bleeder out and wrapped it, careful not to cover the hole below the threads and screwed it back in. Worked like a charm, Thanks, at 3:55am!!!
