I bought the exact same frame sliders and ran into the same problem it appears you have on the right side.

When I went to put the fairing back in place, the fairing actually made contact with the mounting bracket. Enough contact that I took the sliders back off, am taking them back, and getting a set from LighTech.

Strangely enough, a friend of mine has the exact same sliders on the exact same bike and didn't have any problems. Maybe I did something wrong, who knows. But I do like the design of the LighTech's better.

There is a right side and a left side to the frame sliders. Initially I had the same problem, but later realized that the right side had a short "washer" and a notch to allow the plastics to fit. Hope this helps.:)

the directions tell you which one is which and they say that the right side should be longer along with the longer bolt. when they say right side, they mean as you are sitting on the bike correct? or is it when you are looking from the front? I always thought it was as you were sitting on the bike.

it may be the way that i positioned it also. maybe I should angle it down a little.

I will do them over again this weekend to make sure that they are correct.

it is not too tight on the right side, the plastic touches a little but it is not to bad.

I ordered the intuative no cut frame sliders for my 07' CBR 1000RR. Does anyone have any info on them, I went through escondido cycle center where I bought my bike and it's the ones they recommended.

Not to rain on djalkyd's parade, but to anyone reading this thread to compare frame sliders, check out the third image in this thread. (http://www.repsolforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=568&referrerid=138)

I dont see how that is rain on my parade, the frame slider did exactly what it was suppose to do, save the frame. They are called frame sliders not frame impact resistant doo hickies. If the frame slider would not have bent then the frame would have been broken where that slider was. But seeing how it absorbed the energy of the impact, I would have to say that they are designed very well. So as for rain, there is no rain in the forcast for me this time.

I just got my bike back on saturday and it looks just like new. escondido cycle center did an awsome job so to tribaltim, escondido cycle center put new frame sliders on for me and they look real sweet. If you want to meet up some time and check them out then let me know.

I have the same ones. I think that TX was just stating that they should not bend. I have heard of these breaking off which does you no good. I have been thinking of going with the lightech sliders because the way they are made.
