I heard of cbrs having a oil starving problem when riding on one wheel, how do I tell, cuz mine seems to be doing fine but then again I dont know the symptoms of a oil starved bike.I also heard that over filling it 1 quart over works and input

Never heard of any oil starving issues other than with Ducati's when doing wheelies. I would never recommend over filling your oil for any reason. I know the 08's had some oil burning probs but always do the right thing. Add oil to do wheelies:confused2: sounds little fd up. Messing with oil levels can be bad news. Do you ride that much on one wheel?

Over filling is almost always a bad idea for an engine. Let me ask some friends who stunt professionally if they'd recommend it.

:stupid:
I know that overfilling is definitely bad for cars, can't imagine it would be any less bad for bikes.

yeah maybe your right, I do ride on one wheel when I get the chance, when cops ain't around:evilgrin:,The only two highs are dragging your knee and carrying the wheelie at the balance point.;)

i am going to say what i think here
if you are trying to drag your knee on public roads then you are a bloody idiot dragging knee on the roads means you are pushing way too hard it is not necessary nor is it smart. if you really want to be doing **** like that then take it to the damned racetrack...
as for wheelies on the repsol...
well here is what i have to say about that
i you dont deserve one... respect your machinery a bit more & go get a dedicated stunt bike

first and foremost ,do you need some preperation H cuz it sounds like your butt hurts.I would go to the race track but we don't have one here in alaska,we do have a bunch of open roads that are not really being used. Trust me when I say im not one thats ruining it for everybody else,I do respect my bike and my limitations.I don't pull this shyat on busy roads. When you say that I don't deserve a repsol well :who the hell gave you the right to make that decision. You kind of sound like a whine little B@@@@.I guess opinions are like a$$ holes everybodys got one and your entitled to say it but next time could you be alittle more nice mommy.Oh i mean daddy;) oh and I did not say i wanted to be a stunter either,I just try to do it big on evrything I do in life . Different strokes for different folks.:) or don't sweat the petty shyat, just pet the sweaty shyat:evilgrin:

also let me also add even a master is not a master thiers no limitations on what you can learn in life.so I like to say that thiers no such thing as master.
thanks for joining me in deep thoughts with joe:D

firstly any machine would have issues with oil starvation irrelevent of brand when you mess with its designed function Ie riding upside down (just speaking) even if its not noticable imediatly it does effect it, then there is the problem with damage to the front suspension.
Its all based on respect to your ride, it is yours and you should treat it such, if it breaks fix it without complaint.
IMO if you can try keep stunting in a controlled enviroment - but hey what the hell you are a big boy and its your choice.:evilgrin:

overfilling on these bikes is far from the same category as overfilling a car engine. the clutch on the bikes is not even low enough to be an oil bath design so you do not have the situation where the crank or the clutch will stir the oil up and make it foam. the sump on the cbr motor is far from perfect for extreme angles and thats why hrc has built and designed a deeper, higher volume sump unit. i do use one of these magnesium versions on my bike. it drops the oil level about 1-1.5 inches lower than the stock sight glass but still increases volume by maybe 1/2 litre. the way this bike has its clutch, crank and oiling system designed, a 1/4-1/3 qt overfill will not be detramental but potentially create more oil vapors in the airbox. not to get too far offtrack, i never understood and have not got a straight answer as to why hrc uses a stock oil pump with a hrc pressure relief valve and a hrc supplied pump gear that is larger with a longer chain. this larger gear actually slows the pumps rotation because of the larger gear, this in turn also slows the water pump because its driven from the rear of the oil pump.
