OK guys I need a little help I have 4 other keys on my repsol keyring that I must have so how do I protect the area around the ignition switch from unsightly abrasions? A friend of a friend had some fake carbon fibre stick ons on his new GSXR 600 so I know they make em I just dont know what to call em so I can Google em. A hand please:D

Hey can I add to the post and inquire about ignition wire protection around the back and the bottom of the ignition? It seems as though some real jokers were post up in the bike lot on the strip in ybor city, kinda rough there and they were cutting off the wires to the back of the ignition. These guys were hoping people would be stranded at 3am coming out of the bar or the club and with no power to the key you would have to leave your bike and come back later...Then they would be gone with your gear??? Is there anything to protect that vulnerible area? Or do you buy a $900 vibration sensitive alarm? sorry to get off the subject there a little :(

I don't put my key on a keychain at all because it eventually beats the hell out of the triple clamp. Other alternatives could be a quick release to remove the four other keys you have from the bike key. I know suzuki sells a carbon fiber cover for the triple clamp, but I don't think Honda does.

I have been toying with the idea of buying the materials to do carbon fiber and make some parts. I have some ideas that I think I could sell if they were put in carbon fiber.

x2 on both.

I keep my bike key on it's own key ring with a soft rubber key chain. The next best thing is the quick-release key chain that would allow you to put the bike key on one ring, the other three keys on the other, and you could separate them from each other so the three keys stay in your pocket and don't scratch the triple clamp. But that kinda leads you to just having a separate key ring for the bike key...

I do the seperate key ring. I use a platic zip tie with a nylon "remove before flight" tag. I do that so i can figure out which Honda key is which, but it does not scratch anything up.

I tend to forget my office key when I take a bike or my wifes car so I keep on one ring both bike keys ,my office , house, the valet key to wifes car. This presents a problem:mad:

You should only have one key on that ring and a rubber holder.
On my main ring i have the kind that i can detach my bike key easily and place it back when im done.
Bk is on the works of making a rubber holder and if he needs i can get the main key holder info for him. he can have it made for thye repsol forum.

Thats what I do, I have a quick connect on my bike key so I can pop it off by itself.

Just take the other keys off they don't rate to be on the same key chain...
