Just wanted to throw it out to everyone here that might be interested in doing a Bluegauges mod on their REP. I just finished the re-install of my gauge cluster with the blue backlight mod. It looks great and in the process of re-installing the gauges, I took some photos from start to finish that should detail just about every aspect of the teardown and re-installation process. I took me about a total of about 15-20 minutes to re-assemble everything and about 30 minutes to do the initial teardown since the shop manual is kinda sketchy with the details. I Photoshopped all of the photos with the directions/instructions embedded in the images (one is attached below.)
I guess Big Kahuna can decide how and if he wants to do anything with the pics, I have two zip files ready to go one, .zip has hi-res image totaling about 13Meg and another more manageable zip of about 2.5Meg. Happy modding to all!

This “reference” shot looks scary, a REPSOL without a head!

dude...that gives me flash backs..
i didnt have the head off but i had to take enough off to get to my spark plugs when i fouled them out.
people hear helped me figure out that that was the problem and helped me get it fixed myself.
=) i had a buddy help me out.
he was a car mechanic and was very smart.
we got to them and fixed the problem but seeing my rep in pieces and naked gave me chills.

Year I hear you, I have a total of 81 miles on my REP, and I have done a bunch of mods that required taking off just about every piece of plastic the thing came with. I have done a CA integrated taillight, front flush-mounts (soldered/heat-shrinked all of the wires up to the factory Honda wire connectors to allow for a factory disconnect), LED relay, frame sliders and K&N’s. I have unfortunately been doing some traveling out of the country for work that has severely handicapped my ability to ride. Now that I am back in country and the 10-day forecast looking crappy in DC it looks like all I will be able to do is look at her in the garage for a while.
I am beginning to question this whole global warming thing, this weather is giving me flashbacks to when I was assigned to Seattle from 2002-2004 (sorry to all the Pacific Notherwesterners but I absolutely HATED Seattle! )

Bummer - I've had mine for 11 days now and have already got 302 miles on it!

I have done a CA integrated taillight

Got a link? I've looked around a little for one but haven't really nailed down the search yet.

No I didn't photo-document the install of the CA taillight, only the Bluegauges install. To be honest, short of the wiring/soldering of the connections to the stock plugs, the CA install was even easier than the Blugauges install. Anybody know how I should go about posting, or who I should submit the installation pics too? I assume I should be talking to Kahuna on this one!

I would love to have access to your photos with instructions as I plan on doing the same mod when I get my Repsol. Could you just start a thread and post them like you did that one pic or is 2.5megs too big? Anyhow, I think its really cool you took the time to do that with photoshop and I think it would be really helpful to post the pics. Take care:)

You guys are doing it the hard way. You don't need to remove the body work. I just pull the entire upper fairing mount. Undo the mirrors, take out the windshield, unclip the instrument cluster, unbolt the 2 bolts that hold the stay on to the steering head. Then pull the whole thing out, cluster and all. Takes 10 minutes. I've done a bunch, 'cause of the recall in '04. Its the easiest way.
