Hey guys, I just checked out jbigs new wheels...pretty sweet. I was wondering what other wheels, if any, were compatible with the CBR1000rr. Also, out of those wheels, which require the least or no modification? I like the 5 spoke design. Are there any that are already orange? gotta have orange on my Repsol.....when I get mine that is;) Thanks in advance everyone!

Check out Big Kahuna rims. Those are the ones I have been seeing lately. You can always powder coat any rims you might like.

I think RC51 wheels should be an almost bolt on, try '03-'04.

From what I have read of other forums, RC51 rims don't just bolt on. I guess the rims is the same size, sprockets and rotors hook up correctly, but the bearing and axle size are different. Either the axle is bigger or smaller, can't remember.

With RC51s not being produced anymore, expect the prices the rise for parts for this bike. Not a whole lot made. Just get some Carrozzerias.

Ahhhh love customs. Repsol wheels on a 600RR total cost $700, including NEW wheels. I still consider a bearing swap bolt on.

Only Durranracing lists both the price and weights. I like the PVC 2-peice 3-spoke (Ducati stlye) wheel.

jbigelow - Do you know the weights? What about the wheels from CTSMoto?

Check out Big Kahuna rims.

BK's wheels are the show. If I had the money, that would've been the very first mod.

Here are the 5 spoke cast magnesium Dymag wheels that I put on my '05 They came in orange, ALMOST, a dead match for the orange on the fairing and bolted right on. The front wheel is close to the same weight as the stock, a few ozs. lighter, but the rear was around 5.5 lbs lighter, primarily due to the cush set-up, Final price, with shipping, was around $2400.

I have since put these wheels on my '07, and put the RC51 wheels on the '05, and they are a perfect fit

What about:
Galespeed Type-R (forged Aluminum)
Durani Racing (cast/forged Magnesium) ...delayed untill 2008
Marvic Wheels (forged Magnesium)

Allthough I love the polished Dymag forged aluminum, not sure if the weight savings is worth the price. Magnesium seems to be the best bet being worried about a tire installer damaging them or an advertisement for bike theft.

I beleive only Dymag and Durani include the sprocket, cush drive and whatever else needed in the advertised price. Which realy sucks when comparing prices. Also not all the companies include all that when they advertise weight which sukcs even more. You could be paying more thinking your getting a lighter wheel and just get ripped.
