What FE did you use with your Jardine Dual Outlet S/O? Could you post pics?

IMO, this is by far the best kit for the CBR. I have this kit on all 3 of my bikes. I have pics in my gallery. Just my .02

I like Competition Works but there is no where to mount the turn signals and I think the cops here in San Diego are little uptight about moving the plates that far in to the bike. I would like to mount it close to the original position and have the turn signals on it as well. Has anyone tried the shock racing FE with a dual outlet? I bought a Jardine FE but the damn thing dosen't fit correctly it rubs the bottom of the exhaust.

Just in case I decide to go with the Comp Works kit, where is the cheapest place to get on? and how much was it if you don't mind me asking?

I have a Competition Werkes on mine and it has turn signal mounts (see picture). I modified the plate bracket to eliminate the roller wheel, but the side brackets have holes for signals. The 2005 Competition Werkes FE has signal mounts (like mine), the 2006/07 appears to be different.

competition werkes kits have holes in the side for turns, some just choose not to use them because they dont need them (me)

I have seen pictures of the kits and there is one without any turn signal mounts at all (pictures were of 06/07 bikes), while the 05 kit like mine has the mounting holes.

Anyone know of a good place to get a CW FE? The places I've checked are pretty expensive $150 and above.

I'd be happy to extend the price of $139+ship to Repsol Forum members.

Kept the stocker! Actually, I kind of forgot to order a FE and now that the pipe is on, I am going to wait. I actually don't mind the stocker. I will probably order the Jardine elliminator when I do put one on.

I installed the cheapest FE out right now. Drilled through the top corner of the battery holder and placed a half inch bolt with to nuts and washers. Basically going to bend the license plate lip and hang it from there.
Looks like it will work. I will show you once I am done putting the bike back together.

Chris, just might take you up on that offer. I'm going to try to make one out of the stock fender if it dosen't work I'll give you a call.

SilverCBR, I bought the Jardine FE but it does not fit, the bottom rubs against the exhaust and the turn signals will also rubon the sides of the exhaust.

Salvaje, would like to see some pics when your finished.

If you want one that keeps the plate close to stock position, just higher and tighter I'd look at the Graves Motorsports one.

Thats actually something similar to what I want to do with modifying the stock fender. I just want to get rid of the silver plastic parts.

Yea, thats the Jardine one I have already. It dosen't fit with the dual outlet exhaust with out modifications. It will rub on the bottom and depending on what turn signals you have it will rub on the sides.

I am going to go with the hotbodies undertail. It has heatshields and cleans up the rear end. It will work with any muffler as well, and comes with built in LED signals. I just don't care for using a basic FE and putting on big bulky blinkers. What's the point in that, it winds up looking like you just cut the back fender off.

Are you certain it works with any muffler? The hotbodies undertail I saw installed on another 1000 has the exhaust opening way up under the tail (read: very short muffler required) - seems like I read that the muffler is part of the hotbodies undertail kit because it is such a short, specialized muffler.

All resulting in an EXTREMELY loud exhaust system, from everything I've read about it.

OOPS - just went to their website and found that they offer two different undertails.

I believe this is the one you're talking about - http://www.hotbodiesracing.com/1000RR06_ut_sbk.php4

This is the one I'm talking about - http://www.hotbodiesracing.com/1000rr_03_utxs.php4 - It's the source of many debates on all the motorcycle forums.

You are correct. I don't care for their exhaust system set-up, but the undertail for the jardine or stock exhaust looks great. Finishes it off nicely.

Haha.....damn. Which one disgusted you, the first link or second one? I definitely dont like the first one.....it looks like a taquito or hotdog in a bun, a damn 'pig-in-a-blanket' or sum$hit. But the second one is super sick to me. It's the best looking aftermarket exhaust kit i've seen, and if I can confirm that the under plastics don't melt (part of the 'debate' about those things) then I'll probably get one.

The full undertail with exhaust is okay... it was the pillsbury-poppin-fresh-crescent-roll-weiner-wink one that made me gag.

Picks are small but you get the hint. I placed the bolt under the battery:
910
Than its on with the plate:
911
Looks and works great..by the way its not my Repsol.

Hey all I had was a photo camera. Right above the battery case there is a space which is seperated by the heat sheild. I stuck a LED bar in there to light up the plate. I will try to take better pics once my Repsol is done and that will be today.

i have a RIZOMA fender eliminator. great product and has a 6 LED license plate light. it has the option of putting the RIZOMA turn signals if you want (the zero led turn signals are super bright) and the FE was only $100.

here is a post with the RIZOMA fender eliminator with my MORIWAKI pipe. lots of room, and looks trick. i didn't add the LED turn signals because i am running an integrated tail.

Looks nice, jbigelow. I went ahead and picked up a Shock Racing FE. A local stealer was having a 20% off sale so I couldn't pass it up. I'll post a pic once I get it installed.
