OK - I'm going to sound like an old man here :o , but here goes: has anyone considered, or actually purchased, aftermarket seats for a sport bike?
The new bikes are definitely not made for long distance riding. Though I don't do a lot of it, it definitely happens once in a while.
Been looking at the following:
Corbin - http://www.corbin.com/honda/h10rrf.shtml
Sargent - http://www.sargentcycle.com/howscbr1000rr.htm
The Sargents look better, but they don't offer a seat for the passenger, only a seat cover. They do offer "custom" seat services, but I haven't priced it out yet. And the passenger seat is more of a concern than mine - the missus wasn't happy with the bruises she got on our ride this weekend (no comments!).
I have a solo seat cowl for when she's not on the bike, so I really don't care if the passenger seat looks goofy. The only time it'll be on the bike is when it's covered up by a cute little butt, taking all attention away from the seat.
I've heard in the past that aftermarket seats develop a memory of your butt, making it a bit awkward when it comes time to slip off the seat in the twisties.
Anyone have anything to offer on the topic?
