Durring the winter i fouled out my spark plugs and instead of buying new ones,
me and my buddy took my bike apart and sanded the black spark plugs enough to see metal.
I feel like my bike hasnt been running the same. Even on second feels very laggy.
My bike usually moves on idle from first to get motion.
still does when i first go.
but at a light or stop sign now i have to give it gas or it will shut off.
before i used to just ez the clutch out and get motion then gas.
just want to know if anyone has had this problem.
Well im going to have honda check it out soon.
Can i cause damage if i ride and one of the pugs is miss fireing??
if so i need to know because it is beatiful outside and ive been riding.
Someone please holla back.

Man, as much of a PITA as it is to get to the spark plugs, why not just replace them while you were in there? Though them little fuggers are expensive... damn Honda and their iridium plugs.

Of course fowled plugs will make the bike run poorly - I can't really get into all kinds of physics or anything for you, but can say from experience with street bikes, dirt bikes, and sports cars that the spark plugs are critical to a well running engine.

It's a relatively easy fix - swap out the plugs before you mess with taking it to the Honda dealership. You'll quite probably save yourself a trip.

Ide have to order them from honda anyhow.
+ i am not going to take her apart again..
was a major pain in the ass! hehe PITA!
ide rather let them at honda do it.
The reason i didnt swap them was because i had to special order them and i already had my baby in pieces and wanted it back together a.s.a.p. before i lost pieces or forgot where things went.
So i just sanded them and my bike start right back up.
I was happy till i started noticeing that my bike isnt the same.
Ide still like to know if riding this way will cause additional damage?

I bet you live around New York! Its a new device that attach's to stop signs and stop lights that shuts your bike down to save the endangered gay sea turtles off the east coast. Sorry inside info from the local cop.

We clean them all the time, but I use a small media blaster. Works great.

:D That was funny!! I clean the plugs also with a blaster. Then shoot compressed air to make sure none of the media is left in them.

No offense, but if I took the time to take them out, wouldn't you just replace them? How often do you guys replace them? Just curious.
