View Full Version : My new Keychain.....

I took one of the patches I bought ($3.00) e-bay and proceeded to make a small hole in it, crazy glued the edges around the hole so it can't frey, attached a regular keychain mount, and WALLA!! I have a cool keychain that won't bang around with the wind while driving, and also won't scratch anything on the bike....all for a 20 minute project with nothing to do one day.

I'd do one myself but then I'd be a copy cat... and that blue just doesn't exactly match the blue (or black, as everyone keeps telling me) on the bike. :p

Just kidding - good idea you had there.

Now if BK can only get enough pre-orders for a RepsolForum key chain...

Hey Neff, I am thinking the only two Iowa Repsol member need to get together some time. What do you think?

Will do for sure. It's just finding the time. I have 3 kids and the wife, I like to get out, but finding the time is the hardest part...

okay... I went to Michael's and purchased a small pack of eyelets...made a cut in the corner of my patch (I didn't want to cover up the REPSOL), inserted the eyelet and smacked it with a hammer..PRESTO! attched my keyring through it, made the finishing details by dabbing the loose threads & frays with the super glue.. it looks bad ass..

You are definitely the inspiration for it all! I was getting frustrated about what to do with my patch.. it was just sitting around...thanks for the idea!!!

I looked on Ebay and every patch I found that looks like these measures 4.5" x 2.3", which is considerably larger than the patch you guys used.

The key is only 3" long, and the patch y'all used is almost the same length as the key.

I did find one that's 3.5" x 1.5", but the patch has green in it, not blue.

Someone wanna post a link for me?

Hi! I actually got mine from the local bike shop as a promotional giveaway, along with a couple of honda/repsol stickers and some other useless junk... but like a dumb-ass I gave my other one away (they were giving them away in pairs for some reason)...
