So, I took the Repsol in for repairs last week, I forgot I had snapped a few shots from my phone as we were leaving.

After all the damage is fixed from when the chain let go, they are going to dyno and tune the bike so I'll have some numbers to show you all when it gets back. :)
The bike on the trailer is a Hyosung GT250R. My buddy sells them and he's taking one to Mike at CTSmoto so he can make some trick ass parts for them. Can anyone say custom rotors, wheels and other billet parts for this Korean motorcycle line. Sweet! ;)

Bet you cant wait to get the Repsol back. While your at CTS, ask Mike when those '07 Repsol rotors will be ready. We New Yorkers finally got some riding weather...........

Well by the looks of Mike's super deluxe ultra fancy Waterjet machine, it still may be a while as it currently sits at the new shop waiting to be installed. It's a hell of a beast though, needing a 480 electrical connection. :(

BK... i dont EVER want to see another pic of a hyosung on this forum again... you deserved to be BANNED then taken out the back & have some sence beaten into you for even secretly admiring one... let alone admitting it..
these bikes are for buying 30 of when you win lotto.. inviting all of your mates up to the track, thrashing, crashing & then at the end of the day piling up in the middle of the infield then having a ****in roaring bonfire b4 everyone gets on their brand new fireblades you bought them & rides home
these bikes are the laughing stock of all riders (except those who own them) over here in aus... we find its the 1st bike syndrome cause it looks like a full on sports bike & sounds like a ducati (but only when you put a howler pipe on them)
these riders usually ensure these bikes spend more time on their side than actually on 2 wheels... commonly referred to as *SQUID* OR *18 & BULLETPROOF*
the least you could have sone to that think was set the fukka on fire
HH
ps.. after 4 weeks my repsol is still in the shop being repaired...
hopefully only a couple more weeks to go now
just waiting on all the bling arriving

just waiting on all the bling arrivingActually, although not for everyone, the Hyosung bikes are kinda fun. I've ridden a few and although they don't compare to the bike we ride, I can see why other NEW riders look to them. At least the Hyosung GT250R uses normal sized tires unlike the Ninja 250 that basically hasn't change for a decade. The Hyosung has upside down forks, adjustable rearsets and pretty good power. I would love to have one of the little full faired 250's, I think it would be fun to ride around town and maybe even in the twisties. ;)
I hope your bike returns home soon. At least I have the 900 to ride, but it is also currently down awaiting a new rear sprocket. :(

I think it was harsh but sometimes the truth hurts. I will tell you that I saw the stupidest kid in Long Beach today. He was on the traffic circle doing 35-40 wearing a T shirt, Shorts and worst of all flip flops! looked like a clean cut kid but man someone needs to slap the **** out of him because when he goes down its going to be Hamburger boy!

Just got word back from Mike and he says the repairs look awesome. I also got some preliminary information from the dyno tune.
Although I was told when I bought the bike that it was tuned for the slip-on by the local Honda shop, AEC told him that the map was a mess. The bike first dyno'd at only 142hp but when they tuned the bike and adjusted the map it gained 17hp for a new total of 159hp. YIKES!
I hope to pick up the bike next week!!!

Hello people!!! 17 more HP!!!!! No comments? You guys are letting me down!!!!!
I somehow missed that post. But 17 extra hp is amazing!
I didn't go digging around to see if you state it elsewhere - do you have a full system now or still a slip-on? Power commander? Air filters?
We need to find someone here in Dallas that can properly tune a bike. squidracer just installed the Akro full system, a power commander, and filters and only gained 6 horsepower. The tuner confesses that the tune is not correct yet, so hopefully he'll end up seeing considerably more power.
But congrats on yours - good to hear you found some nice power.

I could say a lot because I've been down the dyno road, and it really isn't 17HP over stock because the bike was clearly way out of tune from stock at 142 if thats the real number.
That's about 6-8 down from stock baselines you typically see, and while 159 is excellent, the number is always subjective compared to another dyno on another day...
Now that I've burst your 17HP bubble, you will obviously feel the HP increase in your seat of the pants if they truly achieved that peak number in the powerband.
It is absolutely typical for every tuner to claim that every other tuner is a wanker :flamethrower: and has "messed up your map"...so I take that with a grain of salt. If you weren't there to see the numbers for yourself, just chalk it up to ego.
Bottom line...enjoy the bike even more now, and be careful on those first few squirts off the corners while leaning...I have some experience with wheelspin at 157+HP...and it's not always a good experience...
Enjoy...and those of you that think I'm trying to burst Kahuna's bubble...fuggetiboutit...just keepin' it real.

Yeah, I understand how dynos vary and everyone is different. But, they did run a baseline at 142 and then got 159 after the tune. To me, that's a great increase no matter how you spin it. :D
The bike was fine (to me) and fast enough at the 142, so the extra horsepower is just a bonus. :)
It's been so long since I've ridden the thing and since I've been riding the nine so much lately, it's going to be hard to notice the difference I think.

They remapped the bike last night after all the changes were made, I should have some documents with the final HP and torque numbers when I get back. :)
I'm running only a Yosh slip-on and PCII.

Good to hear your getting your bike back...A positive HP increase is better than a negative HP decrease, inaccurate or not...

negative HP decrease
Wouldn't that = an increase in power? A negative decrease? :p

The number may be subjective but the gain isn't if conditions are similar and the dyno is the same one. Congrats on the gain! My 05 makes 156rwhp on a hot day here in Houston.
