So this morning after I got off the highway I noticed the red engine light popped up and 'FI' was on my HUD. I have never seen this before, and I haven't done any modifications to my bike. Since I don't have a maintenance manual can anyone enlighten me to as to what sensors trigger this?

2007, 3046, oil changed at 1950 or so. I haven't had it in for any maintenance by a dealer, just done chain adjustments/lubricating and personal inspections myself.

There hasn't been any indication of an oil leak or anything.

FI isn't that something to do with fuel injection..maybe on of your injectors are sticking or something ..maybe bad gas ..does it sputter at all or any wierd symptoms? or just the light is on and no performance issues? we need more info..

I haven't had any issues with the bike in any recent history, and there was no problem on the highway. Getting off the highway was when it popped up, and it was only a mile to work from the exit, and I didn't notice any sputtering or performance issues.

I will be back on it to go home in 3 hours, I will see if I notice anything going home.
