well, i was able to acquire this 07 CBR1000RR left hand switch from AUSTRALIA.
THIS WAS NOT PLUG & PLAY!!!!!!
the male adapter for my 07 had a 12 prong adapter, while the Australian 07 switch had a 10 PRONG adapter.
anyways, my friend was able to hook this switch up utilizing our US male adapter.
not only are the hazards and flash-2-pass unique on our bikes, but my flash-2-pass is connected to my garage remote.
no more fiddling into my pockets for that DARN garage remote.

What is the reasoning behind not given us the use of the "flash-to-pass" and "hazard" features on our US version bikes?
By the way, one of these days I'm going to have to teach you how to attach images. ;)

I like the idea of hooking the F2P button to a garage door remote.
Squidracer found these nifty little (see the dime in the attached photo for scale reference) momentary pushbutton switches at RadioShack for $2.49.

Simply take the face off a garage door remote and wire the pushbutton into the garage door remote (with your own wire, long enough to reach from the button to wherever you hide the remote). Find a place on the bike to conceal the garage door remote and then mount the little pushbutton somewhere easy to reach, yet inconspicuous.
I say all this like it's going to be easy to do because I haven't tackled it yet. I'm a stickler on details, so it may take me a while to find that perfect spot for the button...
Maybe this'll get me nominated for "Mod of the Month" :D

I know it works - squidracer has them installed in his Jeep, one for each garage door.
I just haven't taken the time to put the switch on the bike - my main concern is finding a place to mount the garage door opener.

thought about that, but the controller for my taillight will go on one side and I carry a small, collapsable back-pack on the other side. Will probably mount it up front under one of the upper plastic pieces.
p.s. - that's not what your wife told me.

Did you get it from a website? If so can you link it to me? I'd just wanted to do some reading on it.
