A local guy just bought an '05 CBR1000RR and it has his rear blinkers in the passenger pegs. There's five holes drilled and it's bright as hell (it is red and should be amber), anyway, it is trick as hell to me. He bought the bike used from a dealer and has no idea who did it. Anyone seen this and more importantly, anyone know how / where / how much it would cost? Thanks in advance.

I have them on my 900. Tristan did them for me. He does great work and has a fast turn around. Even does powder coating now.

Emailed Trip Age - asked if they could remove the reservoir guard from the driver side passenger peg while they've got it... he said he could and I'd never know it was there, but he'd have to powdercoat it.

Waiting for a response - I want the pegs powdercoated back to stock color.

BTW - he responded to my email on a Sunday within hours. Good customer service so far. And the prices aren't bad either.

I did - I just wish he could powdercoat the pegs back to the stock color.

I'm trying to figure out how I can remove the reservoir guard and end up with a nice finish. I thought about having a machine shop here in town remove it, then powdercoating the brackets so you wouldn't see any color variations.

But I don't know if Tristan can drill holes for the LED's without chipping the powdercoat... ugh.

Thats a really cool trick. I agree the stock turn lights are ugly both in front and the back.

My passenger pegs didn't last past the first week I had the bike. Since the rear cowl went on, the pegs came off...

But I have seen these before and they are trick. I just don't have anyplace to put them...:confused2:

Cheers! M2

I agree. Mine came off right away, but I do put them on at times to carry a passenger. Most of the time they are off though. Good idea, but not for me.

The LED's are bright at "night" they suck during the day... it's nice though.

How many leds were in the one(s) you saw that sucked in the day? I would imagine even in the day with enough leds they'd be bright. If so, i wanna get em. :)

I can't take mine off! After all, my wife bought me the REPSOL and she loves riding so I have to be ready for her to jump on the REPSOL at the drop of a hat! Not a bad deal if you think about it!!!!!

I've got six in each peg I believe. Mine are red and they are easily visable even during the day. I also have an integrated tail light just to be sure.

+1 I have an integrated tail (just haven't installed it yet) - don't think I would trust the footpeg blinkers as the only rear blinker.

Nor would I trust just the integrated light only either.

The integrated tail is pretty darn impressive. Everyone that has ridden with me has commented on how great it looks. The bright yellow integrated flasher is very distinguishable as a turn signal.

I ended up getting six holes drilled in the side and six in the rear. The rears are blinkers and the sides are on all the time as marker lights and I have the integrated taillight as well. Pretty sweet combo. Tristan did excellent work!!!! He comes highly recommended by all who have seen his work.
