Looking for a darker one then the stock clear one, but am not finding much on them. Does anyone else run a darker one and where did you find it?

Well, I bought my helmet last August and the dark smoke visors have been on backorder at least since then. You can get maybe a light smoke or a few others still, but for some reason they haven't produced any new dark smoke visors for the VR2.

I can't seem to find any shaded one. Almost to the point of buying a new helmet because of it...Please let me know if you see any darker ones then the OEM clear, as I will try anything at this point...

Couldn't a window tint company just tint it darker?

Doesn't window tinting require extreme heat to bond the tint material to the glass? If so it would easily melt the plastic visor.

I would say no to the first - seems to me that the tight curvature of the visor would make tinting rather difficult without bubbles.

Window tint does not require heat. Some tinters use heat to help remove trapped air bubbles that they can't remove with a squeegee, but again, heat is not required. Extreme heat results in busted glass. My parents owned a tint show for a few years and replaced a few busted windows from a heat gun being overused.

Just get some cool Aviator sunglasses to wear under the visor... Tom Cruise style (but with a helmet).

i think tint could be done just not around where it snaps into place that would rub off when it comes in contact with the helmet. however, i would say the best idea would be perhaps a can of the nightshades stuff you spray over turn signals to give a lightly smoked look instead of amber and still allows light through perfectly. perhaps a light coat of that would do the trick, i wouldnt know never tried it.
