I installed some valtermoto crash protection and failed to tighten them properly... dropped one during transport and ordered a new pair... when consulting the workshop manual for the 08 cbr for the correct torque I realized that my bike and the illustrations do not match! There is a bracket between the collar and the engine which I do not know what it does and it is not in the pictures. Anyone know what this bracket holds and if the torque settings have changed for the '09? The bracket is about 1 cm wide and goes behind the coolant hose and covers a good bit of the engine height.
