Well, mt oldest of 3 boys is 7 years old and woke up with a throat ache this morning. He did go to school but about mid day he wanted to come home, plus the teacher said he just wasn't himself. I rode the bike to work today and the wife was busy working at home (daycare) so on my lunch break I went and picked him up. I said "by the way, I'm riding the bike today" and he said "coooool". He's never been on it but has his own 50 and has ridden quads since just under 4yrs old so I figured he do fine. We live about 7 blocks from school and I made him wear my helmet and we took off. All his friends thought it was cool he was leaving on a bike and we just cruised home. My wife heard us pull up and snaped a quick picture...I just thought he looked pretty cool with his backpack on and my helmet. I thought I'd share this pic. Now he says he wants to go ride more often...

That is awesome, the boy will be hooked for life now. What a dad, can't wait til my boy is old enough for a ride.

Thats cool! I wish I got picked up on a bike when I was a kid. Anyway, don't be surprised if your son starts getting "sick" more often and wants to get picked up:D

My daughter is not aloud to ride on my bike. Mother's rule.

Very cool. I remember taking rides on my dad's Harley when I was little. The best part was when he'd come pick me up from school on it...
I took my nephew on his first ride when he was about 3 years old. My wife got on back and he sat on the drivers seat behind me so she could hold onto him. Took a few slow cruises around the neighborhood... he's been hooked since then!

OUTSTANDING NEFF......my son goes with me everywhere on my bikes. Last week we (my father in law on his BSA) took a ride through Mulholland hwy. and ended up at the Rock Store (local biker hangout). I used to take my daughter all the time but she's 18 now and hangs around with friends most of the time. Enjoy it while you can Neff, they grow up fast!!!

Your son looks very comfortable sitting on your bike, SixDog. Bet you cant wait till he says, "..Dad I will be right back.." and takes the REP out for a spin....

My son just turned thirteen and whenever I'm off of work on weekdays I have to ride him the whole four blocks to school. He loves for everyone to see him roll up. I guess no one elses dad has such a cool ride! HAHA!! He has been riding with me since 99' when I bought my F4. I tell everyone he is my co-pilot. He has already laid claim to the F4, I guess he has to fight with his mother over that.

Cool picture of you and your father-in-law. My Dad just sold his VTX1800 last week. It was an absolute blast taking rides with my Dad, but he says his priorities have changed and the bike's just not one of them anymore.
I totally respect his decision and actually sold the motorcycle for him (he travels a lot).

Hey Neff
Great picture, I bet his friends are jealous. I been trying to get the 14 year old daughter on the back but she seems adamant it ain't going to happen. I told her she would look cool getting dropped off at school, but still won't budge.
My 16 year old son, who lives in the UK, is a different story. He wants to ride it on his own..................Over my dead body......
His reply "If thats what it takes"...........:D :D

You guys are too funny. I don't have any kids of my own but I look forward to being able to do the same for them once they are old enough to ride. I pick up plenty of chicks for lunch at their offices though and the reaction is the same as your son's friends. People LOVE bikes, man. They all crowd around the windows waiting the take off.

Awesome thread, I have a 3 yr old niece who is very scared of motorcycles. Once I forced her sit on my speed 4 hoping she loses fear, she was Ok till I started the engine and started crying. She comes to see me leave but runs away if I ask her to sit on it.
Nice pics and video.

Maybe if you wouldn't have started crying she would have been OK! :confused2: HAHA!!
Just kidding. My 3 year old runs when I fire up the Repsol but she loves to ride.
