You can tell a lot about a person by their pet... post up your dog, cat, snake, whatever floats your boat.
I'll start it off.
This is Ivan. He's a Golden Retriever... pretty much the stereotypical Golden. Loves the water, to play fetch, and snuggle with my wife.
First one is the three males in his litter (we had pick of the litter) - one of them is him, don't know which. Second one is him at my wife's office. She took him to work every day when he was a pup. Third one is a few weeks ago at my grandparents farm in East Texas.

My dog rides....as you can see......lol..
I used to ride with a guy that brought his pup to the street races every Thursday. The dog sat on the passenger seat and leaned up against my friends back. He rode with him at true street and highway speeds, taking corners and all. It was pretty amazing.

I had a cat named Hurdles, my roommates in college killed him, I think they fed him anti-freeze or something like that, Then I dated a girl that had a Maltese, I did everything except pay for it, then she moved to San Diego and gave the dog to someone else.

I couple of our English Labrador and the stray we found in the street. The stray was skin and bones with a cigarette burn on her nose. Can't believe how cruel some people can be. The photo with the puppy was ours as well but we had to get rid of him...........to a good home of course..........long story.
The big guy, Beau or Stupid Dog as I call him will sleep on a washing line.........:D:D:eek:

OK, I'm quite partial to my Golden Retriever, but that Boxer is by far the best looking dog posted yet!
I grew up around Boxers and always wanted one when I got my own place, but my wife was nervous about them (they don't behave like they look!).
So we got a Golden... I wouldn't change it for the world though.

I agree - the lab's a good lookin' pup, but there's just something about a Boxer...
And, LOL, my dog sleeps like that all the time - take a look at the second picture in my post above. He's slept like that since he was a puppy... the vet said it's a sign of complete trust and relaxation in his surroundings. That he's totally comfortable and is willing to sleep in a vulnerable position... FWIW.

my pet rabbit LUCIFER:evilgrin: is by far the best looking among all those dogs, not to mention that it could/would eat them all if it had a taste for meat, luckily it only inhales whole carrots.
Seriously--it herds my sheepdog pup and kicks its ass when it catches him.

Here's the current lot. :)
6412
Scooter, we've had her for the past 12 years now. She was a stray that showed up at my wife's work. She's definitely very independent and doesn't like other cats much.
6413
Fred, was also a stray my wife found at work. He had a rope tied around his neck that he chewed off to get away. He's been with us for about 11 years now, loves all the cats. This is an old picture and he's not in too of shape right now. In his prime he could run and jump for the Frisbee for hours. Not bad for a 90lb dog. :) It's sad to see him grow old. :(
6414
Grubs and Tommy. They are the kids of the group, best buds who usually spend the whole day together. I inherited Tommy when my mother passed away. He is a loving cat what loves to cuddle in your lap. We've had Grubs from birth as his mother had her litter in my attic. We found homes for all the others, including mama but we picked Grubs to keep. He's a big cat, weighed 17lbs when he was a year old.
I've been lucky to have many great pets throughout the years. I still remember the ones I've lost and think of them every year on their birthdays. :)

This is Brutus. He was in a box in front of Walmart as a puppy. The lady was giving the puppies away so she didn't have to take them the animal shelter (he would have had 3 months there, or they put them down). He's gone onward and upward from there, hanging out with celebrities and appearing in a Mastercard "Priceless" commercial for TV at one point.
Seriously, he's been one of the best things in my life. Smart, athletic happy and always fun. He said he wants an '09 Repsol so he can ride with me, but I dunno.....

We have in the past had some great dogs, our adopted greyhounds were so precious to us, lived to be twelve (good for a greyhound). They were adopted from the track. Just like members of the family, one even had his own baby bed!
We now have cats, (all spayed or neutered) that we rescued ...huge babies now, but totally wild ferals before....took lots of time and love and patience.... and fancy feast canned cat food and Science Diet!
Here, some of the guys go fishing!
