I notice that some of us have figured out how to insert an image as a thumbnail within the body of a post, while others (like myself) are only able to insert images as an attachment at the bottom of a post.

See the attached image for a comparison of the two different types. You see how mge_1 did it? That's what I'm trying to do... :confused2:

I would like to know how to insert an image thumbnail into the body of a post so I can write a trip report, and for various other reasons.

Can someone enlighten me?

After you upload the pic, you just need to use the little paper clip icon to insert it into your message:

The paper clip icon is not in the quick edit screen, only the advanced editor.

Oh, and actually, I think I uploaded and inserted mge_1's attachments myself. I prefer to have the images hosted locally rather than linked to on other sites. That way we can be sure to always have them available to the members and not dependent on other sites. :)
