how did it turn out on the rearset after riding on it... i would be afraid of paint chipping.

I had mine powdercoated and noticed that they began to chip....so I used the BBQ grill paint to touch them up and it appears that it has lastest longer.
Another plus is that you dont have to send them to the powdercoater to get repaired....just buy a 3.00 can of paint and whalla...you are done.
its called high-temp.....they also make high-temp clear coats.

I didn't even know that you could get BBQ grill paint, where would someone find it, if they were so inclined?

I should have known, but I wasn't sure if I might have to go find some BBQ specialty shop or perhaps need to find a city with a BBQ shop district!:D Thanks for the help I really like the look of the black swing-arm.

I have the following:
05 Rear shock plus linkage (From what I have read, this is the ideal setup for 2-person riding) 75.00
Competition Werkes Fender Eliminator 04-05 70.00
Micron Twin Outlet Stainless SOLD
Fuji Finepix S5100 175.00
USED Protons 65.00
Shipped within USA
Hey what did you replace your suspension with? Do you like it? Would you suggest it for canyon riding?

I have a spare swingarm and have been reading on a few other forums about the 06-07 shock & link swap.
Ive been planning on getting the swingarm painted black either by Powdercoating or by using BBQ grill paint.
This paint worked well on my exhaust, which I just sold, and some other parts.
So, Im gonna try the BBQ grill paint, install the 06 shock & link and see if its all worth the hype.
You could probably do the swap as well for 50-100.00, minus the swingarm.
Or if you are lucky...you may find the complete 06 rear suspension on eBay for cheap.
I got the 06-07 shock & link for 50.00 total....so its not a big loss if I dont see any gains.
But like I said, Ive read that this is an ideal setup for Single riders.
The 04-05 setup was more for 2 riders
